"Confronting the Irate Neighbor"

Part 2

The door creaked open, and Harry's eyes widened in surprise as he stared at Mrs. Gunderson, their uptight and yeti-phobic neighbor, standing on their doorstep with her arms crossed and a scowl etched on her face. Her silver hair was pulled back into a tight bun, and her eyes flashed with annoyance. "Good morning, Mrs. Gunderson," Harry said, attempting to sound cheerful. "What brings you here today?" Mrs. Gunderson's gaze swept past Harry, her eyes landing on Link, who was still sprawled on the couch, munching away on his cereal. Her expression turned even more sour. "It's about those... those... abominations you have traipsing through my yard!" she exclaimed, her voice rising. "Someone's been leaving giant footprints in my magnolia bushes again, and I know it's that... that... creature you're harboring in your apartment!" Harry sighed, rubbing his temples. "Oh, for Pete's sake, Mrs. Gunderson, not again. This is the fifth time this month, I swear." He threw up his hands in exasperation. "Can't you just... I don't know, plant some yeti-proof bushes or something?" Mrs. Gunderson's face turned red with indignation. "I won't stand for it, Harry! You're going to have to do something about that... that... monster of yours. I won't have it terrorizing my garden!" Link, sensing the tension, finally looked up from his cereal, his yellow eyes sparkling with mischief. Harry shot him a warning glance, but Link just shrugged and went back to eating. Mrs. Gunderson's eyes narrowed. "I'm watching you, Harry. If I see one more footprint in my magnolia, I'll report you to the landlord." With that, she turned on her heel and stalked off, leaving Harry to breathe a sigh of relief. As the door closed behind her, Harry turned to Link, who was still munching away. "Dude, you need to be more careful. We can't have you traipsing through Mrs. Gunderson's yard whenever you feel like it." Link shrugged, his furry shoulders rolling. "Aw, come on, Harr. I didn't do it. I swear. Maybe Bigfoot came by fer a visit." Harry's eyes widened. "Bigfoot? You mean, you're inviting Bigfoot over again?" Link nodded, a hopeful look on his face. "Yeah, I was thinkin' it'd be cool ta have him over fer a BBQ. We could have a blast, man." Harry threw up his hands. "No way, Link. You can't just invite Bigfoot over whenever you feel like it. What about Mrs. Gunderson? What about the neighbors? What about the landlord?" Link pouted, his lower lip jutting out. "Aww, come on, Harr. Bigfoot's my buddy. He's cool." Harry sighed, trying to reason with his yeti hybrid friend. "Link, I know Bigfoot is your... whatever, but you have to think about the consequences. We can't just have mythical creatures traipsing through our apartment complex whenever they feel like it." Link crossed his arms, his face set in a stubborn expression. "I'm invitin' him over, Harr. You can't stop me." Harry groaned, rubbing his temples. This was going to be a long day.
