"Sanctuary of Solace"

Part 3

As she curled up tighter in her sleep, like a scared child, and clutching the pillow even tighter, the softness of the bed seemed to envelop her, a gentle cocoon that shielded her from the harsh realities of her life. The room was bathed in a warm, golden light that filtered through the velvet drapes, casting a comforting glow over the lavish furnishings. The air was thick with the scent of fresh flowers, and the soft hum of a distant piano provided a soothing background melody. In this serene atmosphere, Moon felt her eyelids grow heavy, and her breathing slowed, as she succumbed to the allure of her surroundings. Her thoughts grew jumbled, and her body relaxed, releasing the tension that had been coiled within her like a spring. Just as she was drifting off into a deep sleep, the soft creak of the door broke the silence, and Moon's eyes snapped open. She was instantly alert, her heart racing as she turned to face the entrance. The door swung open, and a tall, imposing figure stood in the doorway, framed by the soft light of the hallway. It was one of the members of ATEEZ, Hongjoong, his piercing eyes fixed intently on Moon as he stepped into the room. His gaze was calm, almost gentle, but Moon's instincts screamed at her to be wary. She felt a shiver run down her spine as he approached the bed, his movements fluid and controlled. Hongjoong's eyes roamed over Moon's face, taking in the vulnerable expression she wore like a mask. He seemed to be studying her, his gaze lingering on the soft curves of her cheeks, the gentle rise and fall of her chest. Moon felt a flush rise to her cheeks as she realized she was still clutching the pillow tightly, her body curled up in a defensive pose. For a moment, the two simply stared at each other, the only sound the soft hum of the piano in the distance. Then, Hongjoong's gaze seemed to soften, and he took a step closer to the bed. "You look like you're sleeping," he said, his voice low and gentle. "But I think you're awake." Moon's eyes narrowed, her grip on the pillow tightening as she tried to process Hongjoong's presence. What did he want? Why was he here? The questions swirled in her mind, but she couldn't find the words to ask them. All she could do was stare at him, her eyes locked on his, as she waited for him to make his move.
