Torch in Tow

Part 2

As they set off on their first "carrying" adventure, Peter grinned, feeling a thrill of excitement. He had Johnny Storm, aka Human Torch, perched on his shoulders, and the unlikely duo was turning heads on the streets of Manhattan. Peter used his Spider-Man agility and strength to navigate through the crowded sidewalks, dodging pedestrians and cars while keeping Johnny balanced on his shoulders. Their first stop was the iconic Statue of Liberty, where Johnny promptly drew a crowd with his flames and charismatic personality. Peter watched with a smile as Johnny worked the crowd, signing autographs and taking selfies with fans. A group of tourists asked for a photo with the duo, and Peter happily obliged, posing with Johnny on his shoulders and the Statue of Liberty towering behind them. Next, they headed to Times Square, where Johnny insisted on taking in the bright lights and giant billboards. Peter chuckled as Johnny marveled at the giant digital screens, his eyes wide with wonder. The air was filled with the smells of street food and the sounds of laughter and music, and Johnny was in his element. As they walked through the crowded streets, Peter started to notice that Johnny's flames were attracting a lot of attention. People were staring, pointing, and taking pictures, and Peter had to use his agility to dodge curious onlookers and overzealous paparazzi. He expertly weaved through the crowds, keeping Johnny safe and secure on his shoulders. Despite the chaos, Johnny was loving every minute of it. He waved to the crowds, grinning from ear to ear, and Peter couldn't help but laugh at his friend's antics. They stopped to grab a hot dog from a street vendor, and Johnny insisted on using his flames to cook it to perfection. As they continued their tour of the city, they attracted a group of robbers who were attempting to make off with a jewelry store's daily takings. The robbers, startled by Johnny's flaming presence, stumbled backward, dropping the loot and fleeing in panic. Peter quickly swooped in to gather the scattered jewelry, while Johnny laughed, his flames dancing with excitement. "Thanks, Spidey! I guess I came in handy for once!" Peter smiled, handing the recovered goods to the grateful store owner. "Anytime, Torch. That's what friends are for." With their impromptu heroics out of the way, the duo continued their adventure, taking in the sights and sounds of the city. They strolled through Central Park, where Johnny insisted on playing a game of "dodge the squirrels" while Peter tried to keep him upright. The afternoon was filled with laughter, excitement, and a few close calls, but Peter was happy to oblige Johnny's requests, enjoying the chance to show off his city. As the sun began to set, casting a golden glow over the city, Peter started to feel a bit worn out but also happy to have Johnny as a friend. He glanced over at Johnny, who was grinning from ear to ear, and smiled. "You know, Torch, I'm glad we're doing this," Peter said, adjusting Johnny's position on his shoulders. "I'm glad I can show you around." Johnny nodded, his eyes shining with excitement. "Me too, Spidey. I'm loving every minute of it." Peter chuckled, feeling a sense of camaraderie with his friend. He had a feeling that this was just the beginning of a wild and unforgettable adventure.
