"A Reprieve Cut Short"

Part 255

As I watched Toga's face fall, I couldn't shake off the feeling of unease that had settled over me. My mind was racing, trying to process the sudden change in dynamics, but my body was reacting on instinct. Fear was creeping in, making my heart pound in my chest, and I felt tears well up in my eyes. I blinked rapidly, trying to hold them back, but it was no use. A single tear rolled down my cheek, and I felt a sob build in my throat. I looked around the room, desperate for some kind of distraction from my growing panic. That's when I saw them - two Nomu standing silently against the wall, their blank faces watching me with an unnerving intensity. My fear spiked, and I felt my breath catch in my throat. I had heard stories about the Nomu, the artificial humans created by the League of Villains, and I knew I was in grave danger. The room seemed to shrink, and I felt like I was suffocating under the weight of my own fear. I tried to speak, to beg for mercy or plead for someone to help me, but my voice was caught in my throat. All I could do was sit there, frozen in terror, as the minutes ticked by. Twenty minutes passed, or so I estimated, before the door creaked open again. Shigaraki, Toga, and Dabi walked in, their faces set in determined expressions. Toga's eyes landed on me, and a cruel smile spread across her face. "Time's up," she said, her voice dripping with malice. Shigaraki ignored her, his gaze fixed on the Nomu. "It's time we got started," he said, his voice low and even. The two Nomu stepped forward, their eyes locked on me, and I felt my fear reach a boiling point. I was trapped, with no escape, and I knew I was in for a world of pain. The tears I had been holding back finally broke free, streaming down my face as I realized my situation was about to get a lot worse.
