A Royal Rhapsody
Part 3
The Mario brothers navigated through the lush landscape of Hyrule, making their way to Princess Zelda's castle. They had decided to pay her a visit before heading to Dr. Horror's lair, hoping to gather more information about Link's situation and get her input on their plan. As they approached the castle, they could hear the sound of a violin wafting through the air. The notes were discordant and mournful, and Luigi winced as they walked closer. "It's-a Princess Zelda's violin playing," he whispered to Mario. "She does that when she's upset." Mario nodded sympathetically. "Let's-a go talk to her, see if we can help." When they entered the castle, they found Princess Zelda in the throne room, her violin tucked under her chin and her bow moving furiously as she played. The music was chaotic and unsettling, and the brothers could feel the magic emanating from the instrument. As they approached Zelda, she didn't even notice them. She was lost in her music, her eyes closed and her face twisted in concentration. Mario cleared his throat to get her attention, but Zelda didn't flinch. Luigi tried to speak, but Zelda's violin seemed to be affecting him. He felt a sudden jolt, and before he knew it, he was standing in ancient Egypt, surrounded by pyramids and pharaohs. He looked around, bewildered, before being teleported back to the throne room. Mario tried to talk to Zelda again, but it was no use. Her violin was too powerful, and he found himself being transported to a futuristic cityscape, complete with flying cars and towering skyscrapers. The brothers exchanged a frustrated glance. How were they supposed to have a conversation with Zelda when her violin was causing them to teleport all over the place? Mario had an idea. He pulled out a pair of earplugs from his pocket and handed Luigi a pair. "Let's-a try this," he mouthed, putting in the earplugs. Luigi followed suit, and they approached Zelda once more. This time, they were able to speak to her without being teleported away. Zelda, still playing her violin, looked up at them with a mixture of sadness and desperation in her eyes. The brothers listened intently as she tried to convey her concerns about Link's situation, her music growing more intense and chaotic as she spoke. They nodded sympathetically, trying to understand the situation, and Zelda slowly began to calm down, her music dying away as she lowered her violin. With the earplugs, the brothers were finally able to have a coherent conversation with Zelda, and they learned more about Link's situation and Dr. Horror's plans. Armed with this new information, they felt more confident than ever that they could rescue Link and defeat Dr. Horror. As they prepared to leave, Zelda smiled weakly at them. "Thank you, Mario brothers. I owe you one." Mario grinned. "No need to thank us, Princess. We're-a in this together." With renewed determination, the Mario brothers set off once again, ready to face whatever challenges lay ahead.
