"A Life of Service"

Part 2

Hyunjin took a deep breath and nodded his head, the words tasting bitter in his mouth. "Alright, I'll do it. I'll be Bangchan's bodyguard." As soon as the words left his lips, he felt a weight settle onto his shoulders, like a physical burden. Mr. Chan's smile grew wider, and he leaned back in his chair, steepling his fingers together. "Excellent choice, Hyunjin. I'm glad we could come to an understanding." He glanced at Bangchan, who nodded curtly. Bangchan stood up, his tall frame towering over Hyunjin. "Let's get you settled in, then. You can stay in the guest quarters on the third floor. My personal assistant, Jisung, will show you to your room." Hyunjin followed Bangchan out of the office, feeling a sense of disorientation wash over him. He was led through a labyrinthine hallway, lined with ornate paintings and lavish furnishings, until they reached a spacious room with a large bed and a marble bathroom. "This is your room," Bangchan said, gesturing to the space. "You'll find everything you need here. Be sure to be up at 5:00 am sharp. We have a training session scheduled in the training room. Jisung will meet you downstairs and escort you to the room." Hyunjin nodded, still feeling a bit dazed. He watched as Bangchan turned and walked out of the room, leaving him to unpack and settle in. The door closed behind him, and Hyunjin let out a deep breath, trying to process the sudden turn his life had taken. As he looked around the room, he noticed a small note on the bedside table. It was a simple message, written in elegant script: "Be ready." Hyunjin felt a shiver run down his spine as he read the words. He had a feeling that his life was about to become much more complicated. He spent the rest of the day lost in thought, trying to come to terms with his new reality. As the clock struck 4:45 am, he reluctantly got out of bed and began to get ready for his first training session. He splashed some water on his face, dressed in the simple black uniform he found in the closet, and made his way downstairs to meet Jisung. The hallway was dimly lit, but Jisung was waiting for him, a small smile on his face. "Good morning, Hyunjin. Let's go to the training room. Bangchan is already there." Hyunjin followed Jisung, his heart pounding in his chest. He had no idea what to expect, but he was determined to prove himself. As they walked, Jisung briefed him on the day's schedule, explaining that the training session would be a test of his physical abilities, as well as his combat skills. Hyunjin's mind was racing with questions, but he pushed them aside, focusing on the task at hand. He was ready to face whatever challenges lay ahead, and prove himself as Bangchan's bodyguard.
