Chapter 90: A Question of Ages
Part 89
As they continued along the winding trail, the group of friends and princesses walked in comfortable silence, taking in the sights and sounds of the surrounding landscape. Caleb, walking alongside Snow White, suddenly turned to the group with a curious expression. "Hey girls, before my relationship with all of you goes any further, I wanna know, because I'm 21, how old are you all? Don't mind me asking," he said, looking at each of the princesses with a questioning gaze. The group fell silent, with all eyes on Caleb. The princesses exchanged glances, seemingly unsure of how to respond. Cinderella, always the polite one, spoke up first. "Well, Caleb, I'm 21," she said with a smile. "I'm the same age as you." Aurora, sitting beside her, nodded thoughtfully. "I'm a bit older, Caleb. I'm 22." Belle, walking ahead with Tiana, turned back to the group. "I'm 22 as well, Caleb," she said. Rapunzel, with her long hair bouncing with each step, grinned mischievously. "I'm 18, Caleb. I'm the youngest one here." Pocahontas, walking beside her, nodded in agreement. "I'm 19, Caleb. I'm just a year older than Rapunzel." Mulan, sitting beside Elsa, spoke up next. "I'm 20, Caleb. I'm just a year younger than you." Elsa, with her icy powers at the ready, smiled serenely. "I'm 21, Caleb. I'm the same age as you and Cinderella." Ariel, sitting beside Jasmine, looked up at Caleb with big, shining eyes. "I'm 18, Caleb. I'm the same age as Rapunzel." Jasmine, with her pet tiger by her side, nodded in agreement. "I'm 19, Caleb. I'm just a year older than Ariel and Rapunzel." Moana, walking beside Anna, spoke up next. "I'm 19, Caleb. I'm the same age as Jasmine and Pocahontas." Anna, with her infectious laughter, grinned at Caleb. "I'm 18, Caleb. I'm the same age as Ariel, Rapunzel, and Kristoff's reindeer Sven - just kidding about that last one!" The group erupted into laughter at Anna's joke, and Caleb chuckled along with them. "Well, I guess I know where I stand now," he said, smiling at the princesses. "I'm glad we're all on the same page, age-wise." Snow White, walking beside Caleb, reached out and took his hand. "We're glad you're interested in getting to know us better, Caleb," she said. "We're happy to have you as a part of our group." As they continued on their hike, the group of friends and princesses walked in comfortable silence once again, but this time with a newfound sense of understanding and connection.
