Chapter 1: Morning Mayhem

Part 1

The morning sunlight streamed through the windows of the house, illuminating the warm and cozy atmosphere within. The scent of freshly brewed coffee and scrambled eggs wafted through the air, enticing everyone to gather in the kitchen for breakfast. Jisung, ever the culinary mastermind, had taken charge of cooking duties once again, and the tantalizing aromas were a testament to his skills. As the group assembled around the table, chatter and laughter filled the air. Minho, the boss, smiled warmly as he surveyed the spread before them. Jisung, seated beside him, playfully nudged his shoulder, and Minho's eyes crinkled at the corners in response. Jeongin and Hyunjin sat across from them, holding hands and exchanging sweet glances. Felix and Bangchan chatted animatedly, their hands entwined as they discussed their plans for the day. Changbin and Seungmin, however, seemed a bit more subdued, sitting at opposite ends of the table. Seungmin, nursing a cup of coffee, looked up as Minho cleared his throat to speak. "Alright, team. Today's mission is a bit delicate. Seungmin, I've assigned you to go undercover and extract information from a potential target. You'll need to... charm him, I'm afraid." Seungmin's eyes narrowed, but he nodded curtly. "I'll get it done." Changbin, however, was not pleased. His expression darkened, and he set his jaw, his eyes flashing with a warning. "You want him to flirt with some guy?" Minho's expression turned diplomatic. "It's necessary, Changbin. Seungmin's skills in this area are unmatched." Changbin snorted, his gaze drifting to Seungmin, who looked away, a faint blush rising to his cheeks. "Great. Just what I need. Him batting his eyelashes at some dude." The table fell silent, with everyone exchanging uneasy glances. Jisung, ever the jokester, attempted to lighten the mood. "Hey, I'm sure Seungmin's got this. He's got a way with words... and eyes... and—" Seungmin shot him a withering look, his voice low and even. "Shut up, Jisung." Hyunjin, oblivious to the tension, chimed in, "Ooh, I love it when Seungmin gets all flirty! You're going to make some guy's heart skip a beat!" Felix, never one to miss an opportunity, chimed in, "I'm shipping Seungmin and Mr. Target already! Can we get a debriefing on the, ahem, 'extraction process'?" Bangchan rolled his eyes good-naturedly. "Felix, focus." As the conversation continued, Changbin's gaze never left Seungmin's face, his expression a mixture of concern and irritation. Jisung, noticing, reached out and subtly brushed his hand against Minho's under the table, a silent communication that only they understood. Just as breakfast was wrapping up, Seungmin stood, his eyes flicking to Changbin before he headed out the door. "I'll get it done," he repeated, his voice firm. The group dispersed, with Changbin lingering behind, his eyes fixed on the door. Jisung, sensing his unease, clapped him on the back. "Hey, he'll be fine. Seungmin can handle himself." Changbin's gaze snapped to Jisung's, a hint of vulnerability peeking through. "I know he can. I just... don't want him getting hurt." Minho, observing the exchange, smiled softly. "He won't, Changbin. Seungmin can take care of himself." As if on cue, a commotion erupted outside. Seungmin stumbled back into the kitchen, looking frazzled, with a strange guy hot on his heels. "Ah, I think I need some help here!" Seungmin exclaimed, before Changbin sprang into action, swiftly dispatching the unwanted visitor. The kitchen erupted into chaos as Changbin pinned the guy to the floor, Seungmin watching with a mixture of relief and awe. As the dust settled, Changbin stood, his chest heaving, and wrapped a possessive arm around Seungmin's shoulders. "You're not going anywhere near that guy again," he growled, his eyes flashing. Seungmin's cheeks flushed, but he didn't protest, a small smile playing on his lips. The rest of the group stared, exchanging knowing glances. It seemed that, despite their protests, Changbin and Seungmin's connection was growing stronger by the day.
