**Chapter 1: The Hunt Gone Wrong**
Part 1
Azusa crouched behind a crumbling wall, her eyes scanning the ruined streets of Ba Sing Se for any sign of her target. She had been tracking Azula for hours, following a trail of rumors and whispers that seemed to lead her deeper into the city's labyrinthine alleys. As a skilled bounty hunter, Azusa was no stranger to the thrill of the chase, but something about this mission felt off. As she peeked around the wall, Azusa spotted a flash of dark hair and a flicker of flame. Her heart quickened - was that...? No, it was just a street vendor, selling skewers of meat to passersby. Azusa's gaze lingered on the vendor for a moment, her mind racing with the possibilities. Where was Azula? Just then, a faint cry for help echoed through the streets. Azusa's head snapped towards the sound, her hand instinctively reaching for the tranquilizer darts at her belt. That had to be her cue. She sprinted towards the source of the cry, her boots pounding the dusty pavement. As she turned a corner, she spotted a familiar figure - Katara, the Water Tribe warrior, struggling to fend off a group of street thugs. Azusa's eyes narrowed. What was Katara doing here? And why was she so... off guard? Without hesitation, Azusa leapt into the fray, taking down the thugs with swift efficiency. Katara stared at her in shock, water still swirling around her hands. "Azusa? What are you doing here?" Azusa's response was interrupted by a snicker from the shadows. "Looks like you're the one who's been caught," a voice said. Azula stepped out of the darkness, a wicked grin spreading across her face. She was surrounded by a halo of flame, which danced and swirled at her fingertips like a living thing. Katara's eyes widened in alarm. "Azula," Azusa growled, her hand tightening around her darts. "You're not taking anyone else today." Azula chuckled, her eyes glinting with mischief. "Oh, I think I am. You see, I've been playing with this one..." She snapped her fingers, and Katara was suddenly lifted off the ground, water swirling around her in a vortex of Azula's creation. Azusa's eyes widened in horror as Azula began to toy with Katara, sending her flying across the street with a flick of her wrist. This was not going according to plan. At all.
