**The Unveiling of a Hidden Past**

Part 1

The sun had just begun to set on the Demon Slayer Corps headquarters, casting a warm orange glow over the bustling courtyard. The sound of clanging swords and murmured conversations filled the air as the Hashiras and other members prepared for the evening's training sessions. Amidst the chaos, a lone figure stood at the edge of the courtyard, observing the scene with an air of quiet contemplation. Giyuu Tomioka, the Water Hashira, stood tall, his piercing blue eyes scanning the surroundings with a hint of detachment. Few knew much about Giyuu's past, and even fewer had ever seen him show emotions. His stoic demeanor and unyielding dedication to his duties as a Hashira had earned him the respect of his peers, but also created an air of mystery around him. Only Master Urokodaki, his sensei, knew the truth about Giyuu's troubled history. As the Hashiras began to gather for their evening meeting, a commotion erupted near the entrance of the headquarters. A young boy, no more than 15 years old, rushed in, out of breath, and approached the group's leader, Kagaya Ubuyashiki. The boy handed Kagaya a letter, which he quickly opened and scanned. "What is this?" Kagaya asked, his brow furrowed in concern. The letter was from Giyuu's parents, and it sent a ripple of unease through the gathered Hashiras. According to the letter, Giyuu's parents had sold him to a cruel man when he was just 9 years old. The man had subjected Giyuu to unimaginable abuse, forcing him to rely on his wits and cunning to survive. It was during this dark time that Giyuu had run away, eventually finding solace in the forest, where Master Urokodaki had discovered him. The letter claimed that, now that Giyuu was 16, just two years shy of coming of age, his parents wanted him back. The letter further stated that, by law, they had every right to reclaim their son, and if he did not return to them, they would take action to ensure his return. The Hashiras exchanged worried glances, knowing that losing Giyuu, one of their most skilled and valuable members, would be a significant blow to their ranks. As the news spread, the Hashiras began to speculate about Giyuu's past and what his parents might have in store for him if he were to return. Sanemi Shinazugawa, the Wind Hashira, grumbled, "Those people can't just claim him back after abandoning him like that. What's their problem now?" Meanwhile, Kyojuro Rengoku, the Flame Hashira, placed a reassuring hand on Kagaya's shoulder. "We won't let that happen, Kagaya-sama. Giyuu is one of us now. We won't abandon him." Giyuu, however, remained silent, his eyes fixed on some distant point, his expression unreadable. Only he and Master Urokodaki knew the truth about his past, and he would rather keep it that way. But as the Hashiras began to discuss the situation, Giyuu's thoughts drifted back to the memories he had kept hidden for so long... And in a quiet corner, a certain blonde Hashira couldn't help but think of Giyuu, his expression compassionate, "I do hope Giyuu-san will be alright...". Little did he know, this was only the beginning of a complicated and potentially devastating ordeal for the Water Hashira.
