## Chapter 43: A Spark of Confrontation

Part 43

A Spark of Confrontation I couldn't help but think that maybe, just maybe, I had played a part in escalating the situation. My annoyance had been simmering all day, and the sight of Katsuki Bakugou strolling through the park, his confident stride and arrogant smirk rubbing me the wrong way, had been the spark that set me off. When he bumped into me, his eyes narrowing as he sneered, "Move it, extra," I felt my temper flare. "Oh!" I exclaimed, waving my arms wildly as if hailing a passing celebrity. "Oh! It's the almighty Bakugou-sama! Beware, you common mortals! He's passing!" I turned to the other kids, Izuku's eyes wide with amusement as he nearly choked on his spit. "Quick, kneel! If you don't, he'll crush you with his enormous ego!" Bakugou's brow twitched, his eyes flashing with irritation. "You..," he growled, his voice low and menacing, before pouncing like a wild animal. I knew I was no match for him, not when Quirks were involved. But I was beyond reason, my irritation and frustration boiling over. I dodged his first punch, a lucky move that had me avoiding his outstretched fist. I realized with a start that he didn't know I knew about his weakness – his right hook. But before I could capitalize on that, he adjusted his strategy, and when I tried to dodge and hit his left side, I was greeted by an explosion that sent me stumbling backward. The blast stung, my face throbbing in pain as I struggled to regain my footing. I glared at Bakugou, my anger and humiliation warring with my common sense. Someone really needed to teach him not to use his Quirk on people. Wasn't there a law against that? Shouldn't an adult have a talk with him about not blasting other people's brains out? I took a deep breath, my mind racing with retorts and comebacks, but for now, I just stood there, my eyes locked on Bakugou's, daring him to make another move.
