"A Bouquet of Feelings"
Part 15
As they strolled through the castle gardens, Mario couldn't help but be captivated by the vibrant colors and sweet fragrances that surrounded him. The warm sunlight cast a gentle glow over the landscape, and the soft chirping of Toads added to the serene ambiance. Luigi and Peach walked ahead, engaged in a lively conversation, while Mario lagged behind, taking in the beauty of the gardens. As he wandered along the winding path, his eyes landed on a stunning flower he had never seen before. Its petals were a delicate shade of pink, and its center was adorned with intricate golden details. Mario was immediately smitten with the flower's beauty and couldn't resist the urge to pick it. He gently plucked it from the soil, making sure not to damage its delicate stem. As he caught up with Luigi and Peach, he couldn't help but feel a little nervous about what he was about to do. He took a deep breath and approached Peach, holding out the flower with a smile. "Your Highness, I found this beautiful flower, and I couldn't help but think of you," he said, his voice filled with sincerity. Peach's eyes widened in surprise as she accepted the flower from Mario. "Oh, Mario, it's lovely!" she exclaimed, her cheeks flushing with delight. She brought the flower to her nose, inhaling its sweet fragrance, and Mario's heart skipped a beat as he watched her. Luigi, who had been watching the exchange with interest, chuckled and nudged Mario with his elbow. "Looks like someone's got a crush, bro," he whispered, grinning. Mario's face turned bright red as he tried to play it cool, but he couldn't deny the flutter in his chest. He had given Peach the flower as a gesture of appreciation, but he couldn't help but feel that it was also a nod to his growing feelings for her. Peach, oblivious to Luigi's teasing, continued to admire the flower, her eyes shining with pleasure. "Thank you, Mario. It's beautiful. I'll make sure to plant it in my garden, so it can bloom for years to come." Mario smiled, feeling a sense of joy at having made Peach happy. As they continued their stroll, he couldn't help but feel a little more at ease, his secret feelings no longer weighing him down. He knew that he still had to be careful, but for now, he was content to bask in the warmth of Peach's smile. As they walked, Peach turned to Mario and Luigi, her expression serious. "I'm glad we're all having a nice time, but I did want to talk to you about something. There's been some trouble in the kingdom lately, and I need your help to resolve it." Mario's heart skipped a beat as he wondered what kind of trouble Peach was referring to. He exchanged a glance with Luigi, and together, they nodded, ready to face whatever challenges lay ahead. Little did they know, their adventure was only just beginning.
