**Chapter 3: New Living Arrangements**

Part 3

Izaya Orihara pulled out his phone and dialed a number, a sly grin spreading across his face as he waited for the person on the other end to pick up. "Ah, Yamada-san, it's Izaya. I need a favor. I'm taking over the lease of Shizuo Heiwajima's apartment. Yes, that one in the Shimokitazawa ward. I want you to break the lease and pay off any penalties. Consider it a business expense." He listened for a moment before nodding, even though Yamada-san couldn't see him. "Great, thanks. I'll transfer the money to your account immediately." Shizuo Heiwajima watched Izaya with a mixture of anger and curiosity, his massive frame towering over the sleek, modern furniture of the bar. Izaya hung up the phone and turned to Shizuo, his eyes glinting with amusement. "All taken care of, Shizu-chan. You're officially homeless... or rather, you're moving in with me." Shizuo's face darkened, but he said nothing, simply following Izaya as he led him out of the bar and into the bright Tokyo evening. A luxury limousine was waiting for them, the driver bowing respectfully as Izaya and Shizuo climbed in. As they glided through the city streets, Shizuo couldn't help but feel a twinge of jealousy as he caught glimpses of Izaya's penthouse apartment building in the Shinjuku district. The sleek glass and steel tower seemed to stretch on forever, a symbol of Izaya's wealth and status. Izaya chuckled as he noticed Shizuo's reaction. "Welcome to my humble abode, Shizu-chan. It's a bit more spacious than your apartment, don't you think?" Shizuo's eyes widened as they stepped into the penthouse apartment, his gaze taking in the stunning views of the city skyline. The apartment was enormous, with floor-to-ceiling windows and sleek, modern decor that seemed to scream "luxury". Izaya laughed, clearly enjoying Shizuo's reaction. "Make yourself at home, Shizu-chan. I'll show you around. But first, go take a shower or bath, I'll be waiting in the bedroom." Shizuo rolled his eyes and stomped towards the bathroom, his massive frame filling the doorway. The bathroom was just as luxurious as the rest of the apartment, with a huge walk-in shower and a deep soaking tub. Shizuo's eyes narrowed as he turned on the water, feeling a surge of jealousy and anger. Why did Izaya get to live in this paradise, while he was stuck in a cramped, dingy apartment? "Stupid flea," Shizuo muttered to himself, pounding his fist on the counter. "Thinks he's so much better than me with his fancy apartment and his fancy lifestyle." As he showered, Shizuo couldn't shake the feeling that he was in way over his head. Izaya seemed to be enjoying this, toying with him like a cat with a mouse. Shizuo's anger and frustration boiled over, and he lashed out, pounding his fist on the shower wall. Izaya's voice called out from the bedroom, "Shizu-chan, take your time. I'll be waiting for you." Shizuo's eyes narrowed, his face twisted in a snarl. He had a feeling that this was going to be a long, difficult night.
