"A Moment of Truth"
Part 2
As the music continued to pulse inside the bar, Lucy excused herself from Chris, who was growing increasingly agitated by the minute. "I need to go to the restroom," she said, trying to sound casual, but Chris's eyes narrowed, his face twisting in annoyance. "What's wrong?" he asked, his voice low and menacing. Lucy hesitated, feeling a pang of unease. "Nothing, I just need to go, okay?" she replied, trying to brush him off. But Chris wasn't having it. He stood up, his eyes flashing with anger, and pulled Lucy close. "You're not going anywhere," he growled, his breath hot against her ear. Lucy felt a shiver run down her spine as she tried to wriggle free, but Chris held tight. Just as it seemed like things were about to escalate, Lucy managed to break free and made a hasty exit, pushing through the crowd and out into the cool night air. Unbeknownst to her, a group of her friends had been watching the scene unfold from afar. Angela, ever the instigator, had taken it upon herself to lead the group in a discreet tail of Lucy. They followed her at a distance, careful not to be seen, as she walked out of the bar. Nyla whispered to the others, "Where's Tim?" and Angela gestured quietly towards the bar entrance. They continued to follow Lucy, but as they turned a corner, they lost sight of her and Tim. "Where did they go?" Celina whispered, scanning the deserted street. Angela shook her head. "I don't know, but let's keep looking." Meanwhile, Lucy had quickened her pace, her eyes scanning the street for Tim. She spotted him by his car, his keys in hand, and she hurried over to him. "Tim, wait," she said, her voice soft. Tim turned to face her, his eyes haunted. "What is it, Lucy?" he asked, his voice rough. Lucy looked up at him, concern etched on her face. "Are you okay? You've been acting really weird lately, and I'm starting to worry." Tim forced a smile, trying to reassure her. "I'm fine, Lucy. Just a little stressed out, that's all." Just as Lucy was about to respond, Chris appeared out of nowhere, his eyes blazing with anger. He strode over to Lucy, his long strides eating up the distance, and pulled her into his arms. "Lucy, let's go," he growled, his lips crashing down on hers in a forceful kiss. Lucy's eyes widened in shock and disgust as she tried to push Chris away, but he held her tight. Tim's eyes went feral, his face twisted in rage, as he took a step forward. The sound of Chris's laughter echoed through the night air, sending a chill down Lucy's spine. She managed to break free from Chris's grasp, her eyes flashing with anger. "Chris, stop," she said, her voice firm. "That's enough." But Chris just sneered at her, his eyes glinting with malice. Tim's eyes locked onto Chris, his face set in a fierce expression. The air was charged with tension as the two men faced off, Lucy standing frozen between them.
