Chapter 3: Long-Distance Relationship
Part 3
The distance between them seemed to grow with each passing day, yet Ren and Xander's connection only strengthened. They had been in a long-distance relationship since they left for college, and it had been a challenge. But they made it work, through regular phone calls, texts, and video chats. Ren sat in her dorm room, surrounded by stacks of books and notes, trying to focus on her studies. But her mind kept wandering to Xander, and she couldn't help but smile as she thought about him. She loved the way he made her laugh, the way he always knew how to make her feel better when she was down. As she scrolled through her phone, Ren came across a text from Xander. "Hey, bookworm," he said. "Just wanted to check in and see how you're doing. I've been thinking about you all day." Ren's heart skipped a beat as she read the text. She loved the way Xander always made her feel like she was on his mind. She quickly typed out a response, "I'm doing okay, just studying for exams. You know how it is. But I've been thinking about you too." Their conversation flowed easily, like it always did. They talked about everything and nothing, sharing stories and jokes, and just enjoying each other's company. Ren felt like she could be herself around Xander, like she didn't have to put on a mask or pretend to be someone she wasn't. As they talked, Ren couldn't help but think about their height difference. Xander was always teasing her about it, calling her his "little bookworm" and saying that he had to bend down just to kiss her. Ren rolled her eyes every time he said it, but deep down, she loved the way he made her feel like she was special. Despite the distance between them, Ren and Xander's relationship felt intimate and close. They shared their deepest secrets and desires with each other, and they always made time for each other, no matter what. Ren felt grateful to have Xander in her life, and she knew that she could always count on him. As the night wore on, Ren found herself getting lost in thought. She wondered what Xander was doing, if he was thinking about her too. She imagined him riding his bike, the wind in his hair, and his dark blue eyes sparkling with excitement. She smiled to herself, feeling a sense of longing. The next morning, Ren woke up to a text from Xander. "I've got a surprise for you," he said. "Something that will make your heart skip a beat. Can't wait to see you soon." Ren's heart skipped a beat as she read the text. What could Xander's surprise be? She couldn't wait to find out. She spent the rest of the day in a daze, her mind wandering to Xander and what he had planned. As she walked to class, Ren felt a sense of excitement building inside her. She had no idea what Xander had in store for her, but she knew that it would be something special. And she couldn't wait to see him, to hold him, and to find out what his surprise was. The thought of Xander's surprise sent a flutter through her chest, and Ren couldn't help but feel a sense of anticipation. She knew that Xander always had her best interests at heart, and she trusted him completely. Whatever his surprise was, she knew that it would be something amazing. Ren's mind was filled with questions as she went about her day. What had Xander planned? Would it be a special gift, or a surprise visit? She couldn't wait to find out, and she knew that Xander would make it worth her while. As the day drew to a close, Ren felt a sense of excitement building inside her. She knew that she would soon find out what Xander's surprise was, and she couldn't wait. She was ready for whatever Xander had planned, and she knew that it would be something special.
