The Aftermath of Dares
Part 138
The music and chatter of the party still swirled around us, but my attention was focused on Kirishima, who was still carrying me in a bridal carry. I couldn't help but laugh at the absurdity of the situation, and Kirishima's grin only grew wider as he set me down gently, my feet touching the floor. As I straightened, smoothing out my dress, I caught Sera's gaze on me, a hint of a challenge in her eyes. I raised an eyebrow, wondering what she was planning, but she just smiled and turned back to Kirishima. "Well played, Kirishima," she said, her voice dripping with amusement. "But I think it's time for someone else to take the spotlight." Kirishima's eyes narrowed, his gaze scanning the room as if searching for his next target. And then, his eyes landed on me. I felt a shiver run down my spine as he started to make his way towards me, a mischievous glint in his eye. "Vesper, truth or dare?" he asked, his voice low and husky. I hesitated for a moment, unsure of what to choose. But then, I remembered Sera's challenge, and a spark of determination ignited within me. "Dare," I said, my voice firm. Kirishima's grin grew wider, his eyes sparkling with excitement. "I dare you to kiss someone in this room," he said, his voice low and conspiratorial. The room seemed to hold its breath as I scanned the space, searching for someone to kiss. And then, my eyes landed on a figure standing across the room, his eyes locked on mine. Axel. My heart skipped a beat as I felt a rush of emotions, a mix of excitement and nervousness. Without thinking, I took a step forward, my eyes never leaving Axel's. And then, I took another step, my heart pounding in my chest. Kirishima's laughter echoed through the room as I made my way towards Axel, the music and chatter fading into the background. As I reached Axel, I looked up at him, my eyes searching for permission. And then, I leaned in, my lips brushing against his in a soft, gentle kiss. The room erupted into cheers and applause, but I didn't notice, my focus solely on Axel. As I pulled back, Axel's eyes locked on mine, a hint of surprise and pleasure in his expression. I smiled, feeling a sense of triumph and excitement. But then, I caught Sera's gaze on me, a smirk playing on her lips. It seemed like this was only the beginning.
