**Chapter 3: The Fixation Grows**

Part 3

As the days went by, Clark found it harder and harder to shake off his fixation on Hal's physique. He would catch himself sneaking glances at Hal during meetings, and even found himself looking for excuses to be near him. The rest of the Justice League was having a field day, constantly making jokes and snide comments about Clark's "secret admiration society" for Hal. During a meeting with the team, Batman raised an eyebrow as Clark's gaze drifted towards Hal. "Clark, are you even listening?" Batman asked, his voice dry. Clark quickly snapped back to attention, his face flushing. "Of course, Batman. I was just...uh...admiring your presentation." Batman raised an eyebrow. "My presentation? Or Hal's physique?" The team erupted into laughter, and Clark's face grew even hotter. He tried to defend himself, but it was no use. The teasing had become a constant companion, and Clark was starting to feel like he was losing control. Hal, on the other hand, seemed to be enjoying the attention. He would often glance over at Clark, a mischievous glint in his eye, and Clark's heart would skip a beat. He couldn't help but wonder if Hal had any idea just how much he was struggling to keep his focus. As the team took a break, Clark found himself wandering over to Hal, who was standing by the window, looking out over the city. "Hey, Hal," Clark said, trying to sound casual. "What's up?" Hal turned, a smile on his face. "Just enjoying the view, Supes. What about you?" Clark shrugged, trying to play it cool. "Just...uh...same here." Hal chuckled, his eyes sparkling with amusement. "I'm sure you are, Clark. You're always so... focused." Clark felt his face heat up, and he quickly looked away, trying to compose himself. But as he glanced back at Hal, he caught him looking at him, a curious expression on his face. The tension between them was palpable, and Clark could feel the rest of the team watching them, waiting for something to happen. He knew he needed to get a grip, to shake off his fixation and focus on the mission at hand. But as he looked into Hal's eyes, he couldn't help but feel a spark of connection, a sense that there was something more to this than just a simple crush. As they headed back to their duties, Clark couldn't shake the feeling that he was in trouble. His fixation on Hal was growing stronger by the day, and he had no idea how to stop it. All he knew was that he needed to find a way to deal with his feelings, before they got the better of him. The rest of the team seemed to be enjoying the show, and Clark couldn't help but wonder what they would do if they found out the truth. Would they tease him mercilessly, or would they be understanding? Clark had no idea, but he knew one thing for sure - he needed to find a way to handle his feelings, before it was too late.
