**Chapter 4: The Girls' Reaction**
Part 4
The next day, Dorothy walked into the house, still floating on a cloud of happiness after her date with Lucas. Rose, Blanche, and Sophia were lounging in the living room, surrounded by the remnants of a lazy morning: coffee cups, newspaper clippings, and scattered magazines. "Well, well, well," Blanche said, raising an eyebrow as Dorothy breezed in. "Look who's still grinning from ear to ear." Dorothy couldn't help but smile. "I had a wonderful time last night," she said, dropping onto the couch beside Rose. Rose's eyes lit up. "Tell us everything!" she exclaimed, bouncing up and down. Dorothy laughed, settling in for a thorough debriefing. "It was perfect," she said, closing her eyes as she replayed the evening in her mind. "We went to that fancy restaurant in Coconut Grove, and the view of the ocean was stunning. Lucas is charming, witty, and kind... and he ordered cheesecake for dessert." Sophia rolled her eyes good-naturedly. "Of course he did," she said. "He's obviously a man of impeccable taste." Blanche leaned forward, her voice taking on a conspiratorial tone. "So, did he kiss you?" she asked, her eyes sparkling with curiosity. Dorothy blushed, but a smile still played on her lips. "He did," she said, her voice barely above a whisper. Rose squealed with excitement, clapping her hands together. "Oh, Dorothy, we're so happy for you!" Sophia chuckled, shaking her head. "You girls and your romantic nonsense," she said, but a warm smile crept onto her face. As the girls continued to chat and tease Dorothy about her new beau, it was clear that they were all excited about the possibility of a new romance in Dorothy's life. Little did they know, this was just the beginning of a journey that would take them all on a wild ride of love, laughter, and adventure. The conversation flowed easily, with the girls discussing everything from Lucas's charming qualities to their own past experiences with love and relationships. As they chatted, Dorothy felt grateful for her friends, who had always been there for her through thick and thin. As the afternoon wore on, the girls decided to take a break and grab some lunch. As they headed into the kitchen, Dorothy couldn't help but feel a sense of contentment. She knew that she had found someone special in Lucas, and she was excited to see where their relationship would go. Over sandwiches and salads, the girls continued to discuss Dorothy's date, picking apart every detail and offering their advice and opinions. Dorothy listened good-naturedly, enjoying the banter and the camaraderie. As they finished up their lunch, Rose turned to Dorothy with a serious expression. "We're all really happy for you, Dorothy," she said, her voice sincere. "You deserve it." Dorothy smiled, feeling a surge of gratitude towards her friends. "Thanks, guys," she said, her voice filled with emotion. "I'm really lucky to have you all in my life." The girls smiled back, and the atmosphere in the room was filled with warmth and affection. It was clear that Dorothy's new relationship had brought them all closer together, and they were excited to see what the future held.
