"Aftermath of Pain"
Part 7
As Rin's body finally lifted off Nozomi's, the cool air in the room seemed to slap Nozomi awake, making her realize the full extent of her pain. Nozomi let out a low, keening moan as she gingerly grabbed her private area, rocking back and forth in an attempt to find some measure of comfort. The pain was like nothing she had ever experienced before, a searing, raw ache that seemed to throb with every beat of her heart. Rin's expression, which had been slack and satisfied just moments before, suddenly changed as she took in Nozomi's distress. Her eyes narrowed, and she reached out to gently pry Nozomi's hands away from her private area. Nozomi whimpered, her eyes welling up with tears as she resisted, but Rin's grip was firm. As Rin's fingers brushed against Nozomi's skin, she felt a sticky wetness that made her heart sink. She carefully pulled Nozomi's hands away, and her eyes widened in horror as she saw the blood staining Nozomi's fingers and the couch beneath them. Rin's face went pale, and for a moment, she just stared at the blood, her mind racing. Saki was going to kill her. She had been so careful, so meticulous, but it seemed she had still managed to hurt Nozomi. The thought of Saki's wrath was like a cold wind, making Rin's skin crawl. Nozomi, still rocking back and forth, seemed oblivious to Rin's panic. She was too caught up in her own pain, her eyes fixed on some point in front of her as she whimpered softly. Rin's expression twisted into a grimace as she quickly grabbed a nearby towel, gently pressing it against Nozomi's private area. "Shh, it's okay," Rin said, trying to keep her voice steady. "I'm sorry. I didn't mean to hurt you." Nozomi's eyes flickered towards Rin's face, a look of pain and fear in her eyes. Rin knew she had to think of something, and fast, or risk facing Saki's wrath. She couldn't let Saki find out about this. The thought sent a shiver down her spine, and she knew she had to take care of Nozomi, and fast, if she wanted to avoid Saki's anger. As Rin sat there, frozen in panic, Nozomi's whimpers grew louder, and she reached out a trembling hand to cling to Rin's arm. Rin hesitated for a moment, then wrapped her arms around Nozomi, pulling her into a tight hug. "I'm sorry," Rin whispered, her voice barely audible. "I'll take care of you. I promise." But as she looked down at Nozomi's bleeding body, Rin knew she had a long night ahead of her, and a very angry Saki to contend with.
