"Desperate Plea"

Ashley sobbed, "Please, just leave me alone! I haven’t done anything to anyone," she cried, her voice cracking with desperation. The man's eyes seemed to bore into her soul as he stepped closer, his hot breath wafting against her skin. He whispered in her ear, his voice low and menacing, "You have something that belongs to me, and I'm going to get it." Ashley shook her head, her eyes welling up with tears. "No, I don't have anything," she protested, her voice shaking. The man's grip on his gun tightened, and he pressed it against her temple. Ashley's heart skipped a beat as she felt the cold metal against her skin. The man leaned in closer, his lips inches from her ear. "Don't play dumb with me," he hissed. "I know you're involved with Ryan. I know you're carrying his child." Ashley's eyes widened in shock, and she tried to push him away. But he held her in place, his grip like a vice. "Let me go," she begged, her voice muffled against his shoulder. The man chuckled, a cold, mirthless sound. "You're not going anywhere," he sneered. "You're going to come with me, and you're going to tell me everything I want to know." Ashley's mind reeled as she tried to process what was happening. How did this man know about Ryan and her baby? What did he want from her? She tried to think of a way to escape, but her mind was a blank. The man's grip on her tightened, and he pulled her away from the wall. Ashley stumbled, her legs trembling beneath her. She felt a surge of fear as she realized she was completely at his mercy. As the man dragged her out of the house, Ashley caught a glimpse of the safe, still open on the floor. The few hundred dollars and jewelry lay scattered around it. She wondered if the man had found what he was looking for, or if he was after something more. The man's phone suddenly rang, shrill in the silence. He hesitated for a moment before answering it. Ashley heard a low voice on the other end, and the man's expression changed. He listened for a moment before responding, "Yes, I have her. She's right here." Ashley's heart sank as she realized she was in grave danger. Who was this man, and what did he want from her? She could only hope that Ryan would find her before it was too late.
