**Chapter 1: Rookie Cop**

Part 1

The rain poured down on Raccoon City like a relentless curtain of doom, casting a gloomy shadow over the already deserted streets. The once bustling metropolis was now a mere ghost town, its residents either fled or fallen victim to the mysterious outbreak that had ravaged the city. Amidst this chaos, a young rookie cop named Leon S. Kennedy stood nervously outside the Raccoon City Police Department, clutching his brand new badge and trying to make sense of the mayhem. As he took his first steps into the police station, he bumped into a beautiful young girl with piercing green eyes and long, curly brown hair. Her name was Ellie, and she was a college student who had managed to survive the outbreak by barricading herself in the police station's library. "Oh, I'm so sorry!" Leon exclaimed, as Ellie stumbled backward, her books scattering across the floor. Ellie smiled weakly, her eyes still wide with fear. "It's okay, I'm just... a little shaken up." Leon quickly knelt down to help Ellie gather her belongings. As they worked together, he couldn't help but notice the faint scent of perfume wafting from her hair, and the way her eyes sparkled when she smiled. Just then, a loud crash echoed through the hallway, followed by the sound of groaning and shuffling footsteps. Ellie's eyes widened as she peered around the corner, her face pale. "What's happening?" she whispered, her voice trembling. Leon instinctively reached for his gun, but it wasn't there. He had left it in his locker, along with his uniform and his sense of security. He was still in his civilian clothes, and his only defense was his wits. "I don't know," he admitted, "but I think we should find out." As they cautiously made their way toward the source of the noise, they encountered a grizzled old cop named Marvin Branagh, who was slumped over his desk, moaning in pain. "Ah, thank God you're here, rookie," Marvin groaned, his eyes cloudy with pain. "We have a situation. The... the zombies... they're everywhere. You have to get out of here, now." Leon's eyes locked onto Marvin's, and he felt a surge of adrenaline. This was it – his first real test as a cop. "What about you?" Leon asked, as he helped Marvin to his feet. Marvin shook his head, wincing in pain. "I'm done. You take care of yourself, and... and this young lady." As Leon and Ellie turned to leave, they were confronted by a horde of grotesque, undead creatures shambling toward them with vacant eyes and outstretched arms. Leon's instincts kicked in, and he grabbed Ellie's hand, pulling her toward the nearest exit. "Run!" he shouted, as the zombies closed in. The two of them sprinted down the hallway, their hearts pounding in unison. They burst through the door and emerged into the rain-soaked streets, gasping for air. But as they looked around, they realized that they were far from safe. The city was a maze of danger, and they were just two lost souls, trying to survive. And that's when they saw it – the iconic Raccoon City Police Department logo, emblazoned on the side of the building behind them. The words "Raccoon City Police Department" seemed to mock them, a reminder that they were trapped in a city gone mad. As they caught their breath, Leon turned to Ellie and asked, "Do you know what's going on here? What caused this outbreak?" Ellie shook her head, her eyes still wide with fear. "I don't know, but I think it has something to do with the Umbrella Corporation. I overheard some of the cops talking about it before... before everything went crazy." Leon's eyes narrowed, his mind racing with possibilities. He knew that Umbrella was a powerful corporation with a reputation for secrecy and ruthlessness. As they pondered their next move, the sound of groaning zombies grew louder, and the rain seemed to intensify, as if the very city itself was conspiring against them. Now it's your turn to direct the story. What do you want Leon and Ellie to do next? Do they try to find a safe haven, search for answers, or take a stand against the undead hordes? The choice is yours.
