Settling In

Part 6

The next morning, I woke up feeling a bit more at ease after the events of the previous night. The students in my class had rallied around me, and it was clear that they were determined to protect me from the villains. As I got dressed and ready for the day, Osby whispered in my ear, "It seems you've made quite an impression on them." I smiled to myself, feeling a little self-conscious about all the attention. But as I made my way to the cafeteria for breakfast, I couldn't help but feel a sense of gratitude towards my classmates. They were all chatting and laughing, and it was clear that they were trying to make me feel welcome. Todoroki caught up with me, his eyes fixed on me with a gentle intensity. "I'm glad you're okay," he said, his voice low and soothing. I smiled, feeling a little flutter in my chest. "Thanks, Todoroki," I replied, trying to sound casual. "I'm fine." He nodded, his eyes never leaving mine. "Good. I was worried about you last night." I felt a little self-conscious under his gaze, but before I could respond, Bakugo butted in, his eyes glinting with mischief. "Yeah, we're not going to let anyone hurt her," he said, his voice dripping with confidence. Kirishima chuckled, his eyes sparkling with amusement. "We're like her personal bodyguards," he joked. The students teased each other, their banter making me laugh. As we finished breakfast and headed to our first class, I felt a sense of belonging, of being part of a group. Throughout the day, I got to know my classmates a bit better. Mirio Togata, Amajiki, and Shinso all seemed really nice, and we chatted and joked together during class. It was clear that they were all interested in me, and I couldn't help but feel a little flattered. But as the day wore on, I couldn't shake off the feeling that the villains were still out there, watching and waiting. Osby whispered in my ear, "Don't worry, I'll keep an eye out." As we walked back to the dorms after class, I noticed that Kaminari and Mineta were both flirting with me. Kaminari was being his usual charming self, making jokes and teasing me good-naturedly. Mineta, on the other hand, was being a bit too intense, his eyes fixed on me with an unnerving intensity. I smiled politely at both of them, but it was clear that I wasn't interested in Mineta. Kaminari, on the other hand, was kind of cute, and I found myself flirting back with him just for fun. Osby whispered in my ear, "You're certainly making an impression on them." I blushed, feeling a little self-conscious. As we approached the dorms, I noticed that the villains were lurking in the shadows, watching us. Toga's eyes were fixed on me, her gaze burning with an unnatural hunger. Dabi, Shigaraki, and Overhaul were all watching me too, their eyes gleaming with an unsettling intensity. I felt a shiver run down my spine, but Osby whispered in my ear, "Don't worry, I've got your back." I nodded, feeling a sense of reassurance. As I settled into my room, I couldn't help but feel a little overwhelmed by all the attention. But I knew that I had to be careful, that the villains were still out there, waiting for their chance to strike.
