Small Steps to Recovery
Part 6
Yoongi beamed with excitement as Julie took her third lap around the hospital room. She was doing great, considering she had just eaten a meal and was still recovering from her ordeal. Her face glowed with a mix of exhaustion and exhilaration, but her eyes sparkled with determination. As they finished the third trip, Yoongi helped Julie back to the bed, and she collapsed onto the mattress, laughing. "I'm a little tired," she admitted, her chest heaving with exertion. Yoongi chuckled and handed her a glass of water from the bedside table. "You've done great, Julie. I'm so proud of you," he said, his voice filled with genuine admiration. Julie took a sip of water, feeling a surge of energy despite her fatigue. She looked up at Yoongi, her eyes locking onto his. "One more trip," she said, her voice barely above a whisper. Yoongi's face lit up with a warm smile. "You got it," he said, offering her his hand. This time, as they made their way around the room, Julie felt a bit more confident on her feet. She was still a bit unsteady, but with Yoongi's support, she was able to take bigger strides and maintain her balance. As they completed the fourth lap and reached the side of the bed, Yoongi gently pulled Julie into his arms, holding her close. "I'm so happy to see you up and about," he whispered, his voice trembling with emotion. Julie felt a lump form in her throat as she wrapped her arms around him, holding him tight. She had never felt so grateful to have someone by her side, supporting her through this difficult time. As they stood there, wrapped in each other's arms, Julie felt a sense of peace wash over her. She knew she still had a long way to go, but with Yoongi's help, she felt like she could face anything. She took a deep breath, feeling his warm breath on her neck, and let her eyes drift closed, savoring the moment.
