"Under the Stars and Tents"
Part 13
Stef and Lena were buzzing with excitement as they coordinated the family's annual camping trip. They had been planning it for weeks, and the whole group was looking forward to spending some quality time together in the great outdoors. As they sat in the living room, laptops open and maps spread out, they started making the final arrangements. "Okay, so we've got the campsite reserved, and we've got enough gear for everyone," Stef said, ticking off items on her list. "Now, let's make the calls and invite everyone." Lena nodded, picking up the phone. "I'll call Maya's family, and you can call Jesus's friends." The first call was to Jocelyn, Maya's mom, and Stef was thrilled when she agreed to come along with her family, including Maya and Clary. "We'd love to come!" Jocelyn exclaimed. "The girls have been talking about this trip for weeks." Stef grinned, hanging up the phone. "It's a go! Now, let's get the details sorted out." As they finalized the plans, Jesus couldn't help but feel a growing excitement. He had been looking forward to this trip for weeks, and now that Maya was coming, he couldn't wait to spend some quality time with her. As he walked into the living room, he overheard his moms discussing the trip. "And make sure to set up the tents so that Jesus and Maya have their own tent," Stef said, winking at Lena. Lena chuckled. "I think that's already been taken care of, dear." Jesus's heart skipped a beat as he realized that he and Maya would be sharing a tent. He couldn't help but imagine the two of them, alone together in the wilderness, under the stars. He tried to contain his excitement, but it was no use. As he walked over to his moms, he couldn't help but grin from ear to ear. "So, when do we leave?" he asked, trying to sound casual. Stef and Lena exchanged a knowing look. "We're leaving on Friday, after school," Stef said. "And we'll be back on Sunday." Jesus let out a whoop of excitement. "Yes! I'm so stoked!" Maya, who was sitting on the couch, looked up at him with a curious expression. "What's going on?" she asked. Jesus walked over to her, a mischievous glint in his eye. "We're going camping, and we're going to have the best time ever," he said, pulling her into a hug. As they hugged, Maya couldn't help but feel a sense of excitement. She had never been camping before, and she couldn't wait to spend some quality time with Jesus in the great outdoors. Little did she know, Jesus was already imagining the two of them, alone together in their tent, under the stars.
