"A Showcase of Hidden Talent"

Part 212

As I finished my guitar solo, the group's admiration and enthusiasm only grew. Mina was practically bouncing up and down with excitement, while Deku and Bakugo exchanged a look of genuine surprise. "You can actually play like that?" Deku asked, his eyes wide with wonder. I chuckled, feeling a bit self-conscious about my abilities. "Yeah, I've been playing for a while now," I said, shrugging. Mina's eyes sparkled with curiosity. "You know, Vesper, I've always wondered... can you sing?" I smiled, feeling a bit taken aback by the question. But then I thought about it - I had actually been trained in multiple genres of music, from classical to rock to pop. "Yeah, I can sing," I said, my voice barely above a whisper. The group's eyes lit up with excitement, and Bakugo spoke up. "Hey, sing something for us! We want to hear you sing." I thought for a moment, and then asked, "Do you guys want to hear the rock song I sang last time?" They all nodded enthusiastically, and I cleared my throat. I began to sing, my voice starting off soft and melodic, like a lullaby. But as the song built up, it suddenly exploded into a loud, energetic rock number, complete with pounding drums and screaming guitars. The group was caught off guard, their eyes wide with surprise as the music hit them like a tidal wave. When the song finally ended, I felt a bit tired - it was a tough song to sing, after all. But the group's reaction made it all worth it. They were all staring at me in awe, their faces filled with admiration and amazement. "That was incredible!" Mina exclaimed. "I know, right?" Deku said, his eyes shining with enthusiasm. "I've never heard you sing like that before!" Bakugo nodded in agreement. "Yeah, you're actually pretty talented, Vesper." I smiled, feeling a bit self-conscious but also happy to have shared this side of myself with my friends. "Okay, okay," I said, holding up my hands. "Two more songs, and then I'll stop." The group cheered and clapped, eager to hear more. I thought for a moment, and then began to sing a softer, more melodic song. It had a small guitar solo, but it was more subdued than my previous performance. The group loved it, their faces filled with appreciation and admiration as they listened. When the song ended, they applauded politely, and I smiled, feeling happy to have shared this side of myself with them. The final song was a bit more upbeat, with a longer guitar solo that had the group clapping and cheering along to the beat. Bakugo, Deku, Todoroki, Kirishima, Kaminari, Shinso, Shindo, and Hawks were all grinning from ear to ear, their faces filled with excitement and admiration. Mirio, Nejire, and Amajiki were also beaming with enthusiasm, their eyes shining with delight. As the song finally came to an end, the group erupted into applause, cheering and whistling for more. I smiled, feeling exhilarated and happy to have shared this side of myself with my friends. "That was amazing!" Mina exclaimed, bouncing up and down with excitement. I grinned, feeling a bit self-conscious but also happy to have shared my music with the people I cared about.
