"Unspoken Feelings"
Part 33
Mina's eyes sparkled with mischief as she turned to the rest of the group, her voice rising to a level where everyone could hear. "Y'all, I think he likes you! Looks like the boys have competition!" she exclaimed, a sly grin spreading across her face. I felt my face heat up to a deep shade of crimson as I shot Mina a mortified look. Oslo's presence seemed to still, his darkness coalescing into a more defined shape as he regarded me. I could sense his gaze on me, but I refused to meet his eyes, my heart pounding in my chest. The room erupted into a chorus of teasing and laughter from my friends, Lena and the others chiming in with good-natured jokes and comments. I buried my face in my hands, feeling like I was going to die of embarrassment. Oslo's presence seemed to move closer, his darkness swirling around me like a gentle breeze. I could sense his proximity, feel the warmth of his gaze on my skin. I peeked through my fingers, meeting his eyes for a brief moment. For a fleeting instant, I thought I saw something there, something that looked almost like...affection? Mina's voice cut through the chaos, her tone triumphant. "I knew it! I knew there was something between you two!" She pounced on the moment, her eyes sparkling with excitement. The boys in the room, Alex and Ryan, good-naturedly joked about having to step up their game to compete with Oslo. I shook my head, feeling a mixture of amusement and mortification. As the teasing died down, Oslo's presence seemed to withdraw, his darkness receding into the background. I let out a sigh of relief, but my heart still lingered with the sensation of his gaze on me. Mina sidled up to me, a conspiratorial whisper escaping her lips. "I told you, Vesper, I have a sixth sense about these things. You two are meant to be." I rolled my eyes, trying to play it cool, but my heart was racing with excitement. What did Oslo feel for me? And what did it mean for our complicated, fragile connection? The room settled back into a comfortable hum of conversation and laughter, but I couldn't shake the feeling that Mina had just set something in motion. Something that would change everything.
