**Darkness Reigns**
Part 5
The ship's alarm blared to life as Warp's face twisted in a snarl, his eyes blazing with fury. Kirsten's heart sank as he lunged at the barrier, his massive frame propelling him forward like a human battering ram. The net-like barrier shuddered and groaned under the assault, straining to hold. For a few agonizing seconds, it seemed as though it might withstand his attack, but then, with a sickening crunch of metal and wires, the barrier gave way. Warp stormed into the room, his massive strides devouring the distance between them. Kirsten cowered back, fear clenching her heart like a fist. His eyes blazed with a mix of anger and possessiveness as he seized her wrist, wrenching her to her feet. "You think you can lock me out?" Warp sneered, his breath hot against her skin. "You think you can control my ship?" He jerked her close, his fingers closing around her wrist like a vice. With a jolt of terror, Kirsten realized she was no match for Warp's brute strength. He spun her around, slamming her against the console. The impact drove the air from her lungs, leaving her gasping. As she struggled to free herself, Warp produced a set of metal cuffs from his pocket and snapped them onto her wrists, pulling her arms behind her back. Kirsten yelped in pain as he yanked her closer, the cold metal biting into her skin. "Sorry, hunny," Warp cooed, his breath skimming her ear. His voice dripped with menace, and Kirsten felt her blood run cold. "I can't have you doing that again." Warp pulled her closer, spinning her to face the control panel. With a few swift keystrokes, he set to work repairing the ship's damaged systems. The autopilot beeped to life, plotting a course for Planet Z. The name sent a shiver down Kirsten's spine. She'd heard stories about Planet Z, a lawless world on the edge of known space, where smugglers and pirates held sway. The thought of being taken there, of being at Warp's mercy, sent a chill through her veins. As Warp worked, his movements grew more confident, his control over the ship's systems reasserting itself. The lights flickered back to life, and the engines hummed, preparing for jump. With a final flourish, Warp activated the autopilot, and the ship lurched forward, accelerating toward their destination. The stars outside seemed to stretch and blur, becoming a long, featureless tunnel. Kirsten's heart sank. She was trapped, at the mercy of a madman. Warp turned to her, his eyes gleaming with anticipation. "Time to take care of some unfinished business," he whispered, running a calloused hand over her hip. His fingers brushed against the cuffs, a possessive gesture that made Kirsten's skin crawl. She knew then that she was doomed, trapped in a living nightmare from which she might never awaken. Warp's grip on her tightened, pulling her close as he began to undo the damage to the ship. The stars outside seemed to fade into insignificance as Kirsten realized her fate was sealed, and Planet Z loomed ahead like a specter of doom.
