Bloody Encounter

Part 10

Dinner had arrived, and the group gathered around the tables, trying to muster up some enthusiasm for the meal. Myung-gi, however, couldn't shake off the feeling of suffocation that had been building up all day. Young-il's constant presence, his touchy behavior, it all made Myung-gi's skin crawl. He tried to eat, but his appetite had vanished. As he pushed his food around his plate, he caught Young-il's eye, and for a moment, they just stared at each other. Myung-gi felt a chill run down his spine. He couldn't take it anymore. Excusing himself, he got up from the table, mumbling something about needing to use the bathroom. The others barely looked up, too engrossed in their own conversations. Myung-gi quickly made his way to the bathroom, hoping to find some solitude. As he washed his hands and gently rinsed his face, he heard the sound of footsteps approaching. Thanos and Namgyu strolled into the bathroom, their faces lit up with mischief. Myung-gi's heart sank as Thanos lunged towards him, pinning him to the wall. "Ah, 333," Thanos sneered, his voice dripping with malice. "I've been waiting for you." Myung-gi yelped as Thanos made a fist and punched him in the face. He tried to defend himself, but Thanos was too strong. The older man started to rant about random things, his words slurring together as he hit Myung-gi again and again. Namgyu watched with a mixture of amusement and concern, his eyes darting back and forth between Thanos and Myung-gi. "Dude, Thanos, maybe you should calm down," he said, but Thanos just ignored him. Just as it seemed like Thanos was going to continue his assault, the bathroom door burst open, and a guard stood in the entrance, a gun pointed directly at Thanos. "Player 230, disengage from the player in front of you. If you attack him again, I will take your life," the guard said in a distorted voice. Thanos scoffed, but he slowly backed away from Myung-gi, his eyes never leaving the guard's face. He stormed into a stall, slamming the door behind him, and Namgyu followed him, muttering something under his breath. The guard waited for Myung-gi to compose himself, and when he finally stood up, the guard escorted him out of the bathroom. Myung-gi's face throbbed with pain as he walked back to the bunk room. His nose was bleeding, and his lip was busted. He could feel bruises forming on his face, and his eye was starting to swell. As he entered the room, the others gasped and gaped at his appearance. Junhee suppressed a laugh, trying not to be rude, but Myung-gi looked like a kicked puppy. The granny rushed towards him, concern etched on her face, but before she could help, Young-il appeared beside her. "Let me help him," Young-il said, his voice calm and soothing. Myung-gi flinched, not wanting Young-il's touch anywhere near him. But Young-il just smiled and gently took Myung-gi's face in his hands, examining the damage. "Don't worry, I'll take care of him," Young-il said, his eyes locked on Myung-gi's. Myung-gi felt a shiver run down his spine as Young-il's fingers brushed against his bruised skin. He didn't know what was worse – the pain from Thanos's attack or the unease from Young-il's touch.
