## Chapter 10: The Inquisitors' Games
Part 10
The Inquisitors' laughter echoed through the room, making Ahsoka's skin crawl. Inquisitor Vexis walked closer to her, his eyes gleaming with excitement. "You're a feisty one, I'll give you that," he said, his voice dripping with condescension. "But you'll learn to play by our rules. You'll learn to obey." Ahsoka stood tall, her eyes flashing with defiance. "I'll never obey you," she said, her voice steady. "I'll never give in to your twisted games." Inquisitor Vexis chuckled, his eyes glinting with amusement. "We'll see about that," he said, his voice dripping with menace. He turned to one of his assistants, a tall, muscular figure with a cruel grin. "Make her play a game with us," he said, his voice cold and detached. "Let's see how well she can follow instructions." The assistant nodded, grabbing Ahsoka's arm and leading her to a large, circular area in the center of the room. Inquisitor Vexis explained the rules of the game: Ahsoka had to navigate the area without touching any of the laser beams crisscrossing it. If she succeeded, the Inquisitors would reward her with a small respite from their torture. But if she failed, they would punish her with another round of cutting and pain. Ahsoka knew she had to play along, at least for now. She took a deep breath and began to navigate the laser beams, her heart pounding with fear. The beams were thin and unpredictable, and Ahsoka had to move quickly and carefully to avoid touching them. As she played, the Inquisitors watched with great interest, their eyes gleaming with excitement. Inquisitor Vexis provided a play-by-play commentary, his voice dripping with sarcasm and mockery. "Look at her go," he said, his voice echoing through the room. "She's so agile, so quick. But will she be able to avoid the beams? I doubt it." Ahsoka gritted her teeth, her anger and frustration boiling over. She knew she had to keep her cool, to focus on the game and avoid the beams. But it was hard to concentrate with Inquisitor Vexis's constant taunts and jeers. Just as she thought she was almost safe, Ahsoka felt a beam brush against her arm. She cried out in pain, her eyes welling up with tears. Inquisitor Vexis laughed, his eyes glinting with triumph. "Ah, it seems our little Jedi has failed," he said, his voice dripping with sarcasm. "Time for her punishment, don't you think?" The other Inquisitors nodded in agreement, their faces twisted with cruel grins. Ahsoka knew she was in for another round of pain and torture, and she steeled herself for the worst. But as the Inquisitors closed in on her, Ahsoka realized that she had had enough. She was tired of playing their games, tired of being their captive. She knew she had to escape, and fast, or risk being subjected to this twisted fate forever. With a surge of adrenaline, Ahsoka made her move. She dodged the Inquisitors' attacks, using her Jedi reflexes to evade their blows. For a moment, she thought she might be able to break free, to make a run for it. But Inquisitor Vexis was too quick, too cunning. He caught her in a tight grip, his eyes glinting with triumph. "You're not going anywhere, Ahsoka," he said, his voice dripping with menace. "You're going to play our games, and you're going to lose. And when you do, you'll suffer the consequences." Ahsoka knew she was trapped, at least for now. But she also knew that she would never give up, never surrender to the Inquisitors' twisted games. She would keep fighting, keep resisting, until she found a way to escape and bring the Inquisitors to justice.
