**Chapter 59: The League's Shadow**

"Are they after me again?" I ask worriedly, my eyes locked on Hawks' as he hesitates for a moment before responding. Hawks' expression turns grave, and he leans in closer, his voice barely above a whisper. "I'm not sure," he says, "but I think it's possible. I've been noticing some suspicious activity around the city, and I have a feeling that the League might be getting close to finding you." My heart skips a beat as I process his words. The League had been a thorn in my side for months now, always lurking in the shadows, waiting for their chance to strike. I had thought that I had evaded them, but now I'm not so sure. "What kind of activity?" I ask, my mind racing with worst-case scenarios. Hawks glances around the café, his eyes scanning the room as if he's worried that someone might be listening. "I've seen some of their agents lurking around the city," he says, "and I've heard rumors that they're getting closer to identifying you. I don't know what their plan is, but I think we need to be careful." I feel a chill run down my spine as I think about the implications. If the League is after me again, I'll have to be on my guard at all times. I'll have to be prepared to run, to hide, to do whatever it takes to stay one step ahead of them. "What do you know about their plans?" I press, my eyes locked on Hawks'. Hawks hesitates, his expression uncertain. "I don't know much," he admits, "but I do know that they're getting desperate. They've been trying to capture you for months now, and I think they're starting to get frustrated." I take a deep breath, trying to process everything that Hawks is telling me. I know that I have to be careful, that I have to be prepared for anything. But I also know that I can't let the League dictate my life. I have to keep moving forward, no matter what. "Thanks for telling me," I say, my voice barely above a whisper. Hawks nods, his eyes locked on mine. "I'll do everything I can to keep you safe," he says, "but you have to be careful too.
