"Stranded in the Hive"
Part 1
The snowflakes had been falling for hours, casting a serene silence over the landscape. Tavros, usually busy with his undertakings as a red tape-loving, bureaucratic trollspeaker, had decided to take a rare moment for himself. He had retreated to his hive, a cozy little cave nestled in the side of a mountain, to watch the snowfall in peace. As he sat on his bed, surrounded by papers and quills, he felt a contentment wash over him. Just as he was starting to drift off into a peaceful reverie, a faint scratching sound echoed from outside his hive. Tavros' ears perked up, and he quickly rose to investigate. He opened the door to find Gamzee, his friend and fellow troll, shivering in the cold. "T-Gamzee? What are you doing here?" Tavros asked, surprised. Gamzee's eyes gleamed with a mixture of excitement and desperation. "I was out collecting herbs for Sburb, and then...and then the snow started falling. I got lost, and I couldn't find my way back. Can I come in? Please?" Tavros' expression softened, and he stepped aside to let Gamzee in. As the other troll entered, Tavros couldn't help but notice the way Gamzee's eyes sparkled in the dim light of the hive. He felt a flutter in his chest, a sensation he had grown accustomed to in Gamzee's presence. As the snow continued to fall outside, Tavros and Gamzee huddled together, trying to warm each other up. They chatted about their respective Sburb sessions, sharing stories and laughter. But as the hours passed, the conversation began to dwindle, and an awkward silence fell between them. Tavros couldn't help but steal glances at Gamzee, who was gazing longingly at him. The air was charged with a palpable tension, and Tavros felt his heart beating faster. He knew that Gamzee felt the same way, and the proximity of their bodies only made things more... complicated. As night began to fall, casting a dark shadow over the hive, Tavros realized that they had a problem. There was only one bed, and two of them. He looked at Gamzee, who was watching him with an expectant expression. "We could... um... try to find a way to make do," Tavros suggested, trying to sound casual. Gamzee's eyes sparkled with amusement. "Make do? What do you mean?" Tavros' face grew hot, and he looked away. "I mean... we could share my bed. It's not like we have a lot of other options, right?" Gamzee's gaze lingered on him, and for a moment, Tavros thought he saw something more in those eyes. Something that made his heart skip a beat. "Okay," Gamzee said finally, his voice low and husky. "I'd like that." Tavros felt a rush of excitement mixed with nervousness. He hadn't expected Gamzee to agree so readily. Now, as they stood there, facing each other, Tavros wondered what exactly he had gotten himself into...
