Chapter 285: Desperation Sets In
Part 285
Shigaraki's eyes scanned the surroundings, his gaze darting back and forth as he tried to pinpoint the source of the footsteps. The air was thick with tension, and I could feel my heart racing in my chest. Dabi's grip on my arm was firm, his eyes locked onto mine as if daring me to make a move. Suddenly, Shigaraki's eyes locked onto something, and his face twisted into a snarl. "Ah, Kacchan," he whispered, his voice dripping with malice. "How...convenient." I followed his gaze, and my heart sank as I saw Bakugo standing in the distance, his eyes fixed on us with a mixture of determination and concern. Shigaraki's eyes never left Bakugo's face as he began to creep towards him, his movements silent and deliberate. Dabi's grip on my arm tightened, his eyes never leaving mine. I knew he was waiting for me to make a move, to try and escape. But I was too weak, too scared. All I could do was stand there, frozen in fear, as Shigaraki closed in on Bakugo. And then, in a flash of movement, Shigaraki struck. Bakugo didn't see it coming, and he was caught off guard as Shigaraki's Quirk took hold. Bakugo's eyes widened in shock as he stumbled backwards, his body trembling with the effects of Shigaraki's power. I felt a wave of despair wash over me, and I started to cry. The tears streamed down my face as I realized that we were both trapped, that there was no escape. Bakugo's eyes met mine, and for a moment, I saw a flicker of concern there. He took a step towards me, but Shigaraki was too quick. He grabbed Bakugo's arm, holding him in place. Bakugo's eyes locked onto mine, and I saw the fear and worry there. He was trying to reach out to me, to comfort me, but Shigaraki's grip was too strong. I felt a surge of desperation, and my body began to shake with sobs. Bakugo's face twisted in a mixture of anger and concern as he saw me crying. He tried to move towards me again, but Shigaraki's hold was too tight. And then, everything went black. I felt myself falling to the ground, my body weak and trembling. Bakugo's cry of despair was the last thing I heard before everything went dark. When I came to, I was lying on the ground, my head throbbing with pain. Bakugo was lying next to me, his eyes closed. I was not sure if he was okay or not. As I struggled to sit up, Dabi's face came into view. His eyes were cold and detached, but for a moment, I thought I saw a flicker of something there, something that looked almost like concern. But it was quickly replaced by his usual mask of calmness. "You're awake," he said, his voice low and even. "We need to get moving. We can't stay here for long." But I just lay there, my body weak and my mind foggy. I had no idea where we were or where we were going. All I knew was that we were trapped, and that Shigaraki had both of us right where he wanted us.
