## Chapter 7: The Possessive Behavior

Part 7

As the days went by, Emily couldn't help but feel like she was being suffocated by Coop's constant attention. He would text her multiple times a day, asking her about her schedule, her classes, and her friends. He would show up at her dorm, unannounced, just to take her out for coffee or to walk around campus. At first, Emily had found it flattering, but now it was starting to feel like he was trying to control her. One day, as she was walking to class, Emily saw Coop standing outside her dorm, waiting for her. He smiled and walked towards her, his eyes scanning her face. "Hey, beautiful," he said, his voice low and husky. "I was thinking we could grab lunch together today." Emily felt a surge of annoyance. Couldn't he just leave her alone for once? She didn't want to spend lunch with him, but she didn't want to hurt his feelings either. "I'm busy," she said, trying to sound casual. "I have a lot of work to do today." Coop's face fell, but he quickly recovered. "Okay, no problem," he said. "I'll just come with you then. We can study together." Emily felt a shiver run down her spine. She didn't want Coop to come with her to class, but she didn't know how to say no. "I don't think that's a good idea," she said, trying to sound firm. But Coop just smiled and took her arm, leading her towards class. "Come on, it'll be fun," he said. "We can sit together and take notes." Emily felt like she was trapped. She didn't know how to get Coop to leave her alone, and she was starting to feel like she was losing her freedom. She thought about her parents and how they would react if they knew she was dating her professor. They would be furious. As they walked to class, Emily's anxiety grew. She knew she had to find a way to get out of this situation, but she didn't know where to start. She felt like she was in too deep, and she didn't know how to escape. When they got to class, Coop sat down next to her, his arm still around her shoulders. Emily felt like she was going to suffocate. She couldn't breathe, and she couldn't think. All she could do was sit there, frozen in fear, as Coop's eyes scanned her face. After class, Coop walked her back to her dorm, still holding her arm. Emily felt like she was trapped, like she couldn't escape. She knew she had to find a way to get out of this situation, but she didn't know where to start. As they stood outside her dorm, Coop leaned in close, his eyes burning with intensity. "I love spending time with you, Emily," he said, his voice low and husky. "I don't want to be apart from you." Emily felt a shiver run down her spine. She knew she had to get out of there, but she didn't know how. She was trapped, and she didn't know how to escape. "I need to go," she said, trying to sound casual. "I have a lot of work to do." Coop's face fell, but he quickly recovered. "Okay, no problem," he said. "I'll just walk you up to your room then." Emily felt a surge of panic. She didn't want Coop to come up to her room, but she didn't know how to say no. She was trapped, and she didn't know how to escape. As they walked up to her room, Emily knew she had to think fast. She couldn't let Coop get any closer, or she would be in trouble. She thought about her phone and how she could use it to call for help, but she didn't want to make a scene. When they got to her room, Emily quickly opened the door and stepped inside. "I need to go," she said, trying to sound firm. "I have a lot of work to do." Coop's face fell, but he quickly recovered. "Okay, no problem," he said. "I'll just leave you alone for now. But I'll be back, Emily. And next time, you won't be able to escape me." Emily felt a shiver run down her spine. She knew she had to be careful, or she would be in trouble. She closed the door behind Coop, feeling a sense of relief wash over her. She was safe, for now. But she knew she had to find a way to get out of this situation, or she would be trapped forever.
