"Clarifying Boundaries"
Part 15
As we slowly came back to reality, the warmth of the sun peeking through the windows, Maya's expression turned serious. She sat up, her eyes scanning both Sabrina and me as if searching for something. Sabrina and I exchanged a glance, sensing a shift in the atmosphere. "Maya, what's wrong?" Sabrina asked, her voice laced with concern. Maya took a deep breath, her shoulders squaring. "I need to talk to you both about something. If we're really going to explore this... relationship, I need to make sure we're all on the same page." I nodded, intrigued by where this conversation was headed. Sabrina leaned forward, her eyes locked onto Maya's. "What do you mean?" Sabrina asked. Maya's gaze darted between us, her voice taking on a gentle but firm tone. "I don't want any of us to feel jealous or left out. If we're going to do this, we need to be open and honest with each other. No games, no manipulation. We're in this together, as equals." Sabrina and I exchanged a glance, a sense of understanding passing between us. I nodded, my mind racing with the implications. "I agree," I said, my voice firm. "We need to communicate openly and honestly. No assumptions, no expectations." Sabrina nodded, a small smile playing on her lips. "I'm with you both. I don't want to feel like I'm competing for attention or affection. I want us to be free to explore our feelings without fear of judgment or rejection." Maya's face relaxed, a look of relief washing over her features. "Exactly. I want us to be able to talk about our feelings, our desires, without fear of hurting each other's feelings. We're in this together, as a team." We sat in silence for a moment, the only sound the gentle hum of the air conditioner. Then, Sabrina spoke up, her voice filled with emotion. "I think we need to make a pact, then. A pact to communicate openly, to be honest with each other, and to support each other, no matter what." I nodded, feeling a sense of commitment wash over me. Maya's eyes locked onto mine, and I could see the same sense of determination reflected back. "I'm in," Maya said, her voice firm. Sabrina grinned, her eyes sparkling with excitement. "Me too." I smiled, feeling a sense of unity and purpose. "Me too." As we sat there, hands touching, eyes locked, I knew that we were embarking on a journey that would challenge us, test us, and ultimately, bring us closer together. But I was ready, as long as we were in it together.
