Unconditional Love

Part 2

The warm water droplets on their skin slowly evaporated as they stepped out of the shower, wrapping themselves in a large, fluffy towel to keep the chill off. Nick couldn't help but feel grateful for Max's unwavering support and love, especially during his cataplexy attacks. It was moments like these that reminded him of just how lucky he was to have Max by his side. As they made their way to the bedroom, Max picked up Nick's medication and reminded him to take it with his breakfast in the morning. Nick nodded, feeling a sense of relief wash over him. He hated having to deal with his condition, but with Max's help, it made it all the more manageable. Once they were both dressed in comfortable clothes, Max suggested they order some takeout and watch a movie together. Nick agreed, and they spent the next hour browsing through their favorite food delivery apps, finally deciding on a local Italian place that served the best pasta dishes. As they waited for their food to arrive, they settled in on the couch, snuggled up together under a blanket. Max pulled out a movie they had both been wanting to watch, and they spent the next few hours lost in the story, laughing and crying together. The doorbell rang, signaling the arrival of their food. Max got up to answer the door, and Nick took the opportunity to grab a few more blankets to make their cozy nest even more comfortable. As Max returned with the food, Nick couldn't help but notice the way his eyes sparkled when he smiled. They spent the rest of the evening eating, watching their movie, and enjoying each other's company. It was a simple, yet perfect night in, and Nick felt his heart swell with love and gratitude for Max. As the movie came to an end, Max turned to Nick and asked, "Do you want to make it a lazy Sunday, or do you have other plans?" Nick thought for a moment before responding, "I was thinking we could go for a walk in the park. The weather is supposed to be nice tomorrow." Max's face lit up with a smile. "That sounds like a great idea. We can pack a picnic lunch and make a day of it." Nick's heart skipped a beat as he thought about spending the day outdoors with Max. As they began to make plans for their day out, Nick couldn't help but feel excited for what the future held for them. He knew that with Max by his side, he could face anything that came their way. And as they settled in for the night, wrapped in each other's arms, Nick knew that he was exactly where he was meant to be.
