Grocery Store Shenanigans

Part 4

Asher met Aria at the car and they drove to the grocery store, chatting about their day as they went. Aria was full of energy, as always, and Asher found himself enjoying her company despite the early morning hour. When they arrived at the store, Asher was immediately struck by the familiar face of Emily Wilson, one of his classmates from high school. She was standing in the entrance, eyeing him with a flirtatious glint in her eye. Asher quickly dodged to the side, trying to avoid her, but it was too late. Emily had already spotted him and was hurrying over, a bright smile plastered on her face. "Asher! Oh my god, it's so great to see you!" Emily exclaimed, throwing her arms around him. Asher tried to extricate himself politely, but Emily was having none of it. She held him tightly, her body pressed against his, and Asher could feel his incubus instincts stirring. He tried to push them down, but it was no use. Emily was practically radiating pheromones, and Asher could feel himself getting more and more turned on by the second. Aria, oblivious to the tension, wandered over to them, a shopping list in her hand. "Hey, Em, what's up? Ash and I are just grabbing some groceries." Emily's eyes flickered to Aria, and for a moment, Asher thought he saw a flash of annoyance. But then her smile returned, and she batted her eyelashes at him. "Oh, hi Aria! I'm just, uh, just getting some milk. Yeah, that's it." Asher took advantage of the distraction to gently pry Emily's arms off his body. "It was great running into you, Em, but Aria and I really need to get shopping." Emily pouted, but eventually she relented, blowing Asher a kiss as she sauntered off. Asher watched her go, feeling a bit flustered. Aria raised an eyebrow at him. "Well, that was interesting. You've got a fan, Ash." Asher rolled his eyes, trying to play it cool. "Yeah, I guess I do." The two of them made their way through the store, picking up the items on Aria's list. As they wandered down the aisles, Asher found himself getting more and more distracted by the crowds of people and the noise of the store. He was grateful when Aria finally grabbed his arm and steered him towards the checkout lines. As they waited in line, Asher noticed a display of discounted snacks and his eyes widened. "Aria, look! Your favorite chips are on sale!" Aria's eyes lit up, and she grabbed a few bags, adding them to their growing pile of groceries. Asher chuckled, feeling a sense of amusement. This was actually kind of fun. When it was finally their turn to check out, Asher loaded the groceries onto the conveyor belt while Aria fumbled for her wallet. As they were finishing up, Asher's eyes met those of the cashier, a friendly-looking woman with a warm smile. The cashier rang up their groceries with a smile, chatting with them as she worked. Asher found himself relaxing in her presence, enjoying the easy conversation. Finally, they finished shopping and Asher helped Aria load the groceries into the car. As they drove away from the store, Aria turned to him with a grin. "Thanks, Ash. I really appreciate it." Asher smiled back at her, feeling a sense of satisfaction. "No problem, sis. I'm always happy to help." As they pulled into their driveway, Asher couldn't help but think about Karen and their conversation earlier. He was looking forward to seeing her again, and maybe even showing her some of his own artistic talents. Little did he know, his day was about to get a lot more interesting.
