Chapter 25: A Serenade to Remember

Part 24

The sun rose the next morning, casting a warm glow over the reception hall, where the remnants of the previous night's celebration still lingered. The guests slowly began to stir, stretching and yawning as they came back to reality. They looked around, taking in the scene of the sleeping crowd, and couldn't help but laugh at the absurdity of it all. As they began to wake up, curiosity filled the air. "What happened?" "How did everyone fall asleep?" and "What was that song?" were just a few of the questions being asked. The room was filled with the sound of chatter and laughter as everyone tried to make sense of the previous night's events. Minako, still holding hands with Ami, smiled at the crowd and said, "I think it's time we got this party started again!" The guests began to stir, and soon, everyone was talking and sharing stories of the previous night's events. Pikachu, still sitting next to Ash, looked around with a mischievous glint in its eye, as if to say, "That was quite a night!" As the guests continued to chat and laugh, Minako clinked a glass to get everyone's attention. "To a night that none of us will ever forget," she said with a smile. "I know Jigglypuff's interruption was unexpected, but I think it added a special touch to our celebration. I want to thank each and every one of you for being here to share in our joy." The room fell silent as Minako continued, "I know it's not every day that you get to see a whole room of people fall asleep at once, but I'm so grateful that we could all share in this moment together." Ami nodded in agreement, and the guests began to nod in understanding. With a gentle smile, Minako suggested that they gather in a circle and sing a song together. She pulled out a small device and pressed play, and the iconic Irish ballad "Love Is All We Have Left" by U2 filled the air. The guests huddled together, and as the music began, they swayed gently to the beat. Pikachu, still sitting next to Ash, looked up at him with curiosity. The song was a beautiful, soulful melody that captured the hearts of everyone in the room. Rachel and Uriah, cradling their baby cousins Mary and Aiden, swayed gently to the music, their eyes shining with happiness. The babies, sensing the mood, smiled and cooed, enjoying the gentle rhythm of the song. As the final notes of the song faded away, the guests erupted into cheers and applause. The music had brought them all together, and they were grateful for the experience. Minako and Ami shared a kiss, and the rest of the group followed suit, sharing their own goodbyes and hugs. As the guests began to depart, Rachel and Uriah carefully handed Mary and Aiden back to Minako and Ami, who smiled and thanked them for taking care of the babies. With one last look around the room, the group said their final goodbyes and began to disperse. The morning sun cast a warm glow over the reception hall as the guests went their separate ways. Usagi and Rei were the first to leave, with Blaze and Sonic waving goodbye as they exited. Ash and Pikachu were among the last to leave, chatting and laughing with Mario and Luigi as they went. As the last of the guests departed, Minako turned to Ami and whispered, "That was the most unforgettable wedding ever." Ami smiled and leaned in close, replying, "And it's all thanks to Jigglypuff's serenade." They shared a laugh and a kiss, basking in the joy and love of their special day. The scene was one of happiness and closure, as the guests went their separate ways, each carrying a memory of the night's events with them. The wedding of Minako and Ami had been one for the books, and it would be a long time before they forgot the night that Jigglypuff brought everyone to sleep with its enchanting song.
