The Unyielding Demigod
Part 1
Landon Carlisle stood tall, his chiseled physique drawing admiring glances from the crowd of mortals and gods alike. His navy blue eyes sparkled with confidence, a trait that came with being the son of Neptune, the Roman god of the sea. As a demigod, Landon was no stranger to attention, and he reveled in the admiration. His rugged features, sharp jawline, and piercing gaze made him a magnet for the female gaze. The girls couldn't help but blush in his presence, and even the goddesses couldn't deny the appeal of the young demigod. Landon's impressive physique was matched only by his impressive arsenal. At his side hung the sword known as Capital's Curse, forged by his father, Neptune, long ago. The sword's blade shone with an imperial gold that seemed almost otherworldly, and its reputation was whispered about in hushed tones. It was said that a single cut from Capital's Curse could either burn a person from the inside out or drive them to madness, leading them to take their own life in a slow and agonizing manner. As a child of Neptune, Landon had grown up hearing stories about his father's exploits and the legends that surrounded him. He had even met some of the famous heroes of Greek mythology, including Percy Jackson and Annabeth Chase. Though he had a deep respect for them, Landon was a Roman demigod through and through, and he took pride in his heritage. As a Praetor, Landon was a natural leader, and his abilities as a demigod made him nearly unbeatable in combat. His powers allowed him to create hurricanes, control and bend water, heal himself at an incredible rate, and even cause massive destruction, including earthquakes. His physical prowess was just as impressive, with a 17.5-inch...ahem...attribute that made him the envy of many. Landon's relationships with the gods and goddesses were complicated, but he had a special fondness for his father, Neptune. His mother had passed away, but his stepmother, Salacia, had been a kind and loving presence in his life, unlike some of the other gods' consorts. Juno, for example, was notorious for her treatment of her husband's bastard children. Among the goddesses, Landon had a soft spot for Minerva, the wisdom goddess. Despite being a child of Neptune, he found himself drawn to her intelligence and strategic mind. Minerva, in turn, seemed to appreciate Landon's bravery and conviction, and the two had formed an unlikely bond. Other goddesses, like Juno, Juventas, Ceres, and her daughter Proserpina, had also caught Landon's eye, though for different reasons. Their beauty, poise, and authority made them hard to ignore, and Landon had found himself entangled in romantic entanglements with many of them over the years. As he stood on the shore, the wind whipping his dark hair into a frenzy, Landon felt the call of adventure stirring within him. The sea, his father's domain, beckoned him to explore its depths and uncover its secrets. With Capital's Curse at his side and his powers at the ready, Landon set off into the unknown, prepared to face whatever challenges lay ahead. The demigod's journey was just beginning, and the fate of the gods and mortals alike would soon be intertwined with his own. The question was, where would his travels take him next? Only time would tell.
