The Detention
Part 1
As Percy Jackson opened his eyes, he found himself standing in a grand, ancient temple surrounded by his friends Thalia Grace, Jason Grace, Hazel Levesque, and Nico Di Angelo. The air was thick with the scent of old stone and dust. The group exchanged confused glances, unsure of how they had arrived in this mysterious place. "Where are we?" Thalia asked, her voice laced with a hint of concern. "I don't know," Percy replied, "but I think we're in some kind of trouble." Suddenly, the sound of shuffling footsteps echoed through the temple, and three figures emerged from the shadows. The Fates, Clotho, Lachesis, and Atropos, stood before them, their faces stern and unyielding. "Welcome, demigods," Clotho said, her voice like a soft breeze on a summer day. "You have been sentenced to detention by us, the Fates. You will be spending some time with... unlikely company." As if on cue, the doors of the temple creaked open, and a group of towering figures entered. The Titans, led by Atlas, Prometheus, and Epimetheus, strode into the room with an air of bored superiority. "Ah, Mini Kronos," Atlas sneered, his eyes fixed on Percy. "How delightful to have you here with us." Percy's face burned with annoyance at the nickname, but he tried to keep his cool. "It's Percy Jackson, not Mini Kronos," he corrected. Prometheus chuckled, his eyes glinting with amusement. "Oh, come now, Percy. You're the son of Zeus, the king of the gods. It's only fitting that we call you Mini Kronos." The other Titans snickered and whispered among themselves, their eyes fixed on Percy with a mixture of curiosity and disdain. Thalia stepped forward, her eyes flashing with defensiveness. "Hey, that's not fair. Percy's earned his name as a hero, not just because of his family." Lachesis raised a hand, her voice calm but authoritative. "Enough. The terms of your detention are simple: you will read and analyze 'The Lightning Thief' alongside the Titans, and then discuss it with them." Hazel frowned, her brow furrowed with concern. "Why do we have to do this?" Atropos smiled, her eyes glinting with a hint of malice. "Because, my dear, you will learn that even the most unlikely of friends can find common ground. And perhaps, just perhaps, you will learn something from each other." With that, the Fates handed each of the demigods a copy of "The Lightning Thief," and the group began their unusual detention. As they settled in to read, Percy couldn't help but wonder what lay ahead, and what he would learn from his time with the Titans. "Let's get started, Mini Kronos," Epimetheus said with a grin, "I hear this story is all about your... exploits." Percy rolled his eyes, but a small smile played on his lips. He was ready to face whatever challenges lay ahead, alongside his friends and these ancient, powerful beings. Little did he know, this detention would be a journey unlike any he had ever experienced.
