"What exactly do you hope to achieve with this proposal?" The King's smile grew wider, and he leaned forward, his eyes glinting with amusement. "Oh, merely to strengthen the ties between our military leaders," he said, his voice casual. "A strong and stable military is essential for the prosperity of our nation. And what better way to ensure that than through a strategic marriage?" Levi felt a surge of unease at the King's words.
