"Unspoken Attractions"

Part 3

An hour had passed since they had eaten their snack and engaged in a conversation that had left Kai feeling more at ease. They had talked about everything and nothing, their words flowing easily as they laughed and joked together. Finally, Kai had excused himself to take a shower, leaving Cole to his thoughts. Cole had spent the last thirty minutes scrolling through his phone, his mind absent as he stared blankly at the screen. He was lost in thought, his mind wandering back to their conversation earlier. He had been surprised by Kai's question, but he had tried to answer in a way that was reassuring. The door opened again, and Cole's eyes flicked up, his gaze meeting Kai's. "How was your shower?" Cole asked, his voice low and casual, but his eyes scanning Kai's face. Kai sighed, a soft smile playing on his lips. "Oh, it felt good." Cole smiled, his eyes crinkling at the corners, and glanced up, ready to respond. But as his gaze met Kai's, his breath caught in his throat. Kai was standing in front of him, his hair damp and tousled, his skin glistening with water droplets. He was shirtless, his chest bare and inviting, and Cole's eyes lingered on the sight. Kai was wearing shorts, but they were short, barely hiding his thighs. Cole's mouth went dry as he took in the sight of Kai's physique. He felt a rush of sinful thoughts, his mind racing with images of what he could do to Kai, with Kai. Cole's eyes locked onto Kai's, and for a moment, they just stared at each other. The air was thick with tension, and Cole could feel his heart pounding in his chest. He tried to speak, but his voice caught in his throat. Kai shifted uncomfortably, his eyes dropping to the floor, and Cole's gaze followed. He felt a pang of regret, realizing he had been staring. He looked away, trying to compose himself, but his eyes kept drifting back to Kai. The silence between them grew thicker, until Cole finally managed to find his voice. "You, uh, look good," he said, his voice low and husky. Kai looked up, a hint of a smile on his face. "Thanks," he said, his voice soft. Cole's eyes met Kai's, and for a moment, they just looked at each other. The tension between them was palpable, and Cole could feel his heart racing with anticipation. He had no idea what was happening, but he knew one thing - he was in trouble.
