A Day of Training and Revelations

Part 230

I spent the rest of the day training with Ochaco, who was determined to teach me some new martial arts moves. We headed out to an open area near the school, where we could practice without worrying about causing any damage. As we began to spar, I realized that Ochaco was actually a lot tougher than she looked. She had a few tricks up her sleeve, and I found myself struggling to keep up with her at first. But as we continued to train, I started to get the hang of things. Ochaco was a great teacher, and she was always providing me with helpful tips and advice. I began to feel more confident, and before long, I was actually starting to gain the upper hand. Ochaco and I were laughing and joking around, having a great time, when I suddenly landed a kick that sent her flying across the grass. She looked up at me with a mixture of surprise and amusement. "Whoa, nice one!" she exclaimed, getting to her feet. "I didn't think you had it in you!" I grinned, feeling proud of myself. "I guess I've been practicing more than I thought!" Just then, a group of familiar faces appeared on the horizon. Bakugo, Deku, Todoroki, Kirishima, Kaminari, and Osby were all watching us from a distance, their eyes fixed intently on me. Ochaco noticed them and waved. "Hey, guys! Come check it out! Vesper's a natural!" The group began to make their way towards us, their faces filled with interest and admiration. As they approached, I could feel my cheeks flushing with embarrassment. Bakugo was the first to speak up. "Well, well, well. Look at Vesper here, kicking Ochaco's butt." Deku smiled. "You're really good, Vesper! I've never seen you move like that before." Todoroki nodded in agreement. "You're definitely a force to be reckoned with." Kirishima, as usual, was his boisterous self. "Yeah, Vesper's a total boss! I'm gonna challenge her to a sparring match soon!" Kaminari, on the other hand, looked like he was in a daze. "I...I don't know how she's doing it," he muttered. "She's just so...so...awesome!" Osby just smiled, his eyes shining with pride. "I told you, she's amazing," he said, his voice low and husky. As the group continued to watch me, I couldn't help but feel a little self-conscious. But at the same time, I was also feeling a sense of pride and accomplishment. I had worked hard to get to this point, and it was nice to have my friends acknowledging my skills. As we finished up our training session, Ochaco clapped me on the back. "You're a natural, Vesper. I'm going to have to step up my game if I want to keep up with you!" I laughed, feeling happy and content. It was days like this that reminded me why I loved being a hero-in-training. The camaraderie, the excitement, and the sense of purpose – it was all just so amazing. As we walked back to school, the group of us chatting and laughing together, I couldn't help but wonder what the future held. But for now, I was just happy to be enjoying the moment, surrounded by my friends.
