Chapter 1: An Unexpected Invitation

Part 1

The sun was setting over the small town of Hanam, casting a warm orange glow over the rows of houses and streets. Onjo, a high school student with a bright smile and sparkling eyes, was walking home from school, lost in thought. She had just finished a long day of classes and was looking forward to a relaxing evening at home. As she turned a corner, she noticed a familiar figure standing by the gate of a large house. It was Cheongsan, a classmate of hers who was known for his charming smile and outgoing personality. He was waving at her, and Onjo couldn't help but feel a flutter in her chest as she waved back. "Hey, Onjo! Wait up!" Cheongsan called out, jogging towards her. "I've been trying to catch up with you all day." Onjo smiled, feeling a little shy. "Hey, Cheongsan. What's up?" Cheongsan grinned, his eyes crinkling at the corners. "I was thinking, since we're both free, why don't you come over to my place for a study session? My parents are away for the weekend, and it's really quiet at my house." Onjo hesitated for a moment, unsure if she should accept his invitation. She didn't know Cheongsan that well, despite being classmates for years. But there was something about his warm smile that put her at ease. "Okay, sure," she said finally, trying to sound casual. "But just for a study session, okay? I really need to get my homework done." Cheongsan chuckled. "Of course, of course. I promise I'll be a perfect host. Come on, I'll walk you home and then we can head to my place." As they walked together, Onjo couldn't help but feel a little nervous. What was she getting herself into? Cheongsan's house was much larger than hers, with a sprawling garden and a driveway that seemed to go on forever. When they arrived at the house, Cheongsan pushed open the gate and gestured for Onjo to enter. "Welcome to my humble abode," he said, bowing low. Onjo giggled and followed him into the house. The interior was just as impressive as the exterior, with high ceilings and large windows that let in plenty of natural light. As they entered the living room, Cheongsan gestured to the couch. "Make yourself at home, Onjo. I'll go get us some snacks." Onjo sat down, feeling a little overwhelmed by the grandeur of the house. She couldn't help but wonder what it would be like to live in a place like this. As she waited for Cheongsan to return, she noticed a few things that caught her attention. There were several trophies and awards on the shelf, and a large bookshelf filled with novels and textbooks. She also noticed that Cheongsan's room was just down the hall, the door slightly ajar. Onjo felt a sudden surge of curiosity, wondering what Cheongsan's room would be like. Just then, Cheongsan returned with a tray of snacks and drinks. "Hey, Onjo! I brought some refreshments. Let's get started on that study session, shall we?" Onjo smiled, taking a seat on the couch. But as she looked into Cheongsan's eyes, she couldn't help but feel a spark of anticipation. What would the rest of the evening bring?
