Lars's Concerns
Part 4
Lars, the third in line to the throne of the Southern Isles, sat in his chambers, his brow furrowed with worry. He had been trying to reach out to his brother Hans for weeks, but Hans had been pushing him away. Lars had never seen his brother so broken, so lost. The once charming and confident prince was now a shadow of his former self, haunted by his own demons. Lars sighed, running a hand through his hair. He had tried everything to get through to Hans - visiting him, sending messages, even leaving food and drink outside his door - but nothing seemed to be working. He was starting to get desperate. If something didn't change soon, Lars feared that Hans might never recover. He decided to confide in his brother Caleb, the crown prince. Caleb was the one member of their family who had always shown a kind heart, and Lars hoped that he might have some insight into what was going on with Hans. Lars made his way to Caleb's chambers, located on the other side of the castle. He knocked on the door, and when Caleb bade him enter, he stepped inside. "Caleb, I need to talk to you about Hans," Lars said, his voice low and urgent. Caleb looked up from the papers he was studying, a concerned expression on his face. "What's going on, Lars? You've been trying to reach out to him for weeks, but he won't budge." Lars nodded, taking a seat in the chair opposite Caleb's desk. "I know. I've never seen him like this before. He's so broken, so lost. I don't know what to do." Caleb set his papers aside, his eyes locked on Lars's. "I think I might have an idea," he said slowly. "But it's not going to be easy." Lars raised an eyebrow, intrigued. "What is it?" Caleb hesitated, choosing his words carefully. "I think we need to bring in someone from the outside. Someone who can help Hans see things from a different perspective." Lars frowned, unsure. "Who did you have in mind?" Caleb's eyes seemed to bore into his soul. "Anna." Lars's eyes widened in surprise. "Anna? You mean, Hans's ex-fiancée?" Caleb nodded. "The one and only. I know she was hurt by Hans's actions, but I think she might be the only one who can reach him now." Lars considered Caleb's words, weighing the pros and cons. It wouldn't be easy, bringing in someone from the outside, especially someone who had been hurt by Hans in the past. But if it meant saving his brother, he was willing to try. He nodded, a plan beginning to form in his mind. "I'll do it," he said, a determined look on his face. "I'll go to Arendelle and ask Anna for her help." Caleb nodded, a small smile on his face. "I think that's a good idea, Lars. Let's hope she agrees to help." Lars stood up, his heart heavy with worry. He knew it wouldn't be easy, but he was willing to try anything to save his brother. He was willing to swallow his pride, to beg for help, if it meant bringing Hans back from the brink of destruction. As he left Caleb's chambers, Lars felt a sense of determination wash over him. He would do whatever it took to save Hans, even if it meant going to the one person who had been hurt by his brother's actions. He would do whatever it took to bring hope back to the Southern Isles, to bring light into the darkness that had consumed his brother.
