Reunited at the Leaky Cauldron

Part 17

The dimly lit interior of the Leaky Cauldron was bustling with patrons, the familiar scent of butterbeer and roasting meat wafting through the air as Teddy, Mari, and Lian sat at a corner table, sipping their drinks and chatting. It had been a while since they'd all been together, and the excitement was palpable. As leading members of the Watchers, a group of highly skilled and daring individuals who had aided Lyra in her undercover operation, they had become world-famous in their own right, with their bravery and cunning making headlines in the wizarding world. As they caught up on each other's lives, they couldn't help but notice the changes in one another. Teddy's hair was now a stylish mess of messy brown locks, and his wardrobe had taken on a more eclectic, bohemian flair. Mari's style had evolved, too – she now sported a trendy pair of black boots and a fitted white shirt, and her hair had gained a fringe of bangs that framed her face perfectly. Lian, ever the free spirit, had dyed his hair a vibrant shade of purple and was wearing a pair of sleek, silver-rimmed glasses. The conversation turned to Lyra, and they all wondered when they would see her again. Little did they know, Lyra had just walked into the Leaky Cauldron, but she was incognito, her features altered by a clever disguise. She made her way through the crowded room, her eyes scanning the patrons as she headed towards the bathroom. As she passed by their table, Mari caught a glimpse of Lyra's wrist, and her eyes widened in recognition. "Wait a minute... that's the same bracelet we all have!" she exclaimed, her voice barely above a whisper. Teddy's eyes followed Mari's gaze, and he quickly waved his wand, incanting a simple reversal charm. The disguise on Lyra's face dissolved, and her features returned to normal – except for one thing: her hair was now much shorter, barely grazing her chin. The three friends stared in shock, their mouths agape. "Lyra, your hair!" Mari cried, her eyes wide with surprise. Lian whistled softly. "You've really gone for a change, haven't you?" Teddy chuckled, shaking his head. "I think it's a bit of an understatement, don't you?" Lyra, now back to her normal self, smiled wryly as she approached their table. "Hey, guys. Long time no see." The three friends leapt to their feet, embracing Lyra in a warm, group hug. As they pulled back, Mari couldn't resist touching Lyra's short hair. "I have to get used to this," she said, laughing. The four friends sat down, eager to catch up and share stories of their adventures. The Leaky Cauldron's patrons faded into the background as they talked, laughed, and reminisced, their bond stronger than ever.
