Working with Harry
Part 8
As I walked into the cozy living room of my flat, I couldn't help but think about my recent encounter with Charlie Weasley. Our banter and easy conversation had left me feeling more connected to him than ever before. I pushed the thoughts aside, focusing on the task at hand - meeting with Harry Potter. Harry, now in his mid-twenties, had become like a younger brother to me. I'd known him since his Hogwarts days, and our paths had continued to cross in the wizarding world. He'd often sought my advice on various matters, and I'd been happy to offer guidance. The doorbell rang, and I rose to answer it. Harry stood on the doorstep, looking a bit worn out. "Hey, Sadie! Thanks for seeing me. I needed to talk to someone." I smiled, ushering him inside. "Of course, Harry. What's on your mind?" He flopped down onto the couch, running a hand through his messy black hair. "It's just... being the Auror Office Director is taking a toll. I'm not sure I'm doing enough to make a difference." I sat down beside him, placing a reassuring hand on his arm. "You're doing an amazing job, Harry. You're one of the most respected Aurors out there. And you're making a real difference, even if it doesn't always feel like it." Harry sighed, looking at me with a hint of desperation. "I just feel like I'm not living up to Dad's expectations. He's always pushing me to be more, to do more." I understood the pressure he was under. James Potter had been a remarkable wizard, and Harry felt like he had big shoes to fill. "Harry, your father would be incredibly proud of you. You're an extraordinary Auror, and you're making a real impact. Don't compare yourself to him; you're your own person, with your own strengths and talents." Harry nodded, looking slightly better. We chatted for a while longer, discussing everything from Auror Office politics to his Quidditch matches. As our conversation drew to a close, I walked him to the door. "Thanks, Sadie," Harry said, smiling. "You're always there for me, like an older sister." I smiled back, feeling a warmth in my chest. "Anytime, Harry. That's what friends are for." As Harry disappeared into the night, I couldn't help but think about how much I enjoyed being a supportive figure in his life. It was moments like these that reminded me why I loved my job as a curse-breaker and Auror - the opportunity to make a difference, to help people, and to be a positive influence in the wizarding world. Just then, my wand chose that moment to beep, signaling an incoming message. I retrieved it, reading the note from Bill Weasley. "Hey Sadie, need your expertise on a curse-breaking case. Meet me at the Ministry tomorrow at 10 am. -Bill" I smiled, tucking the wand back into my pocket. It seemed like my work was never done, but I was always ready for the next challenge. Little did I know, my next mission would take me undercover, and change everything.
