Chapter 14: The Search for the Perfect Venue

Part 14

The following morning, the sun broke through the gray clouds, casting a soft glow over the hushed city. A fresh blanket of snow crunched beneath Usagi and Rei's boots as they made their way to the park that had caught their fancy the evening before. The air was crisp, and each breath released visible puffs of warm vapor, echoing the excitement that bubbled within them. "I can already imagine it!" Usagi squealed, her eyes sparkling as she gazed at the park entrance, the snow-laden branches of trees glistening like diamonds in the sunlight. "It’s going to be so beautiful!" Rei smiled, her heart swelling at the sight of Usagi's infectious enthusiasm. "Remember, we need to focus on the details. We want a place that feels magical, but also comfortable for everyone, especially Chibiusa." As they entered the park, the winter wonderland theme danced vividly in their minds. An expansive garden sprawled before them, flanked by towering pines draped in fluffy white snow. Snowflakes continued to drift lazily from the sky, creating an enchanted atmosphere that felt straight out of a fairy tale. "That spot over there looks promising!" Rei pointed to a quaint clearing nestled between two large evergreen trees, their branches heavy with snow. A wooden gazebo stood proudly at the center, adorned with icicles hanging like sparkling chandeliers. "Oh, it’s perfect!" Usagi’s breath hitched as she twirled around in excitement, envisioning the altar draped in white flowers and twinkling lights. "This is where we’ll say our vows!" They approached the gazebo, taking in every angle as their boots crunched on the frozen ground. Just a few feet away, a small pond reflected the soft pastel colors of the sky, completing the picture of winter wonder. "Let’s see if we can find someone to help!" Rei suggested, scanning the beautiful space for any signs of event management presence. "Good idea!" Usagi beamed, pulling out her phone. "I’ll search for a wedding planner who might know about booking this place." As Usagi busily typed, she felt Rei’s hand slip around her waist, pulling her closer. "No matter where we end up, as long as we’re together, I know it’ll be special," Rei murmured, warmth flooding Usagi’s heart. Just as Usagi found information about the gardens, a friendly voice interrupted their moment. "Excuse me! You two seem excited! Are you looking to book the park for an event?" Turning around, they faced a cheerful woman in a park ranger's uniform. Her snow-dusted hair framed her rosy cheeks as she smiled at them. "Yes! We’re planning our winter wedding," Usagi replied, her excitement bubbling up once more. "We think this garden would be the perfect spot!" "You’ve got great taste! This garden is a beautiful choice, especially in winter. I can show you the booking details, and if you'd like, my colleague manages events here and can help you with decorations—" she gestured toward a cozy-looking cabin not far from the gazebo, the warm glow of a fireplace flickering inside. Usagi and Rei exchanged delighted glances, a wave of euphoria washing over them. With the promising start to their adventure, they followed the woman to the cabin, their imaginations leaping ahead to a day filled with love, laughter, and every little detail they had dreamed about. Inside, the cabin was a welcoming haven, adorned with twinkling fairy lights and the inviting scent of hot cocoa. A sturdy wooden table held an array of pamphlets showcasing various wedding themes, including options that aligned perfectly with their winter wonderland vision. "This is amazing!" Usagi gasped, her mind racing with ideas as her gaze traveled over the materials before them. Rei nodded in agreement, her excitement evident as they started to explore the possibilities.
