Chapter 62: New Beginnings

As we stood there, discussing the upcoming tournament, a sudden flash of light appeared on the scene. We all turned to see Dabi reappear, looking just as annoyed as before. "Ugh, what now?" he growled, rubbing his temples. Kurofiri appeared beside him, a sly smile spreading across his face. "You're back, Dabi. I hope you enjoyed your little trip." Dabi shot him a glare, but before he could say anything, Kurofiri just chuckled and vanished. The group erupted into laughter, and I couldn't help but join in. Dabi's face turned bright red with anger, but he couldn't help but laugh along with us. As we all calmed down, I looked at my friends and said, "From now on, guys..." I locked eyes with each of them, a smile spreading across my face. "Call me Vesper." Ochaco's eyes lit up with excitement, and she grinned. "I'm glad you're dropping the 'dummy' part, Vesper!" Deku and Bakugo nodded in agreement, and even Dabi, still looking a bit annoyed, muttered under his breath, "Fine, Vesper it is." I chuckled, feeling a sense of relief wash over me. It was a small change, but it was a start. From now on, I was Vesper, and I was ready to take on whatever came next. The group continued to chat and joke around, and I fell into step with them, feeling like I was finally becoming a part of the team. As we walked, Ochaco turned to me and asked, "So, Vesper, what's your plan for the tournament?" I grinned, feeling a sense of excitement building within me. "I'm not sure yet, but I'm sure we'll figure it out together." The group nodded in agreement, and we continued on our way, ready to face whatever challenges lay ahead.
