Ashley sighed, feeling a sense of normalcy wash over her. "Yes, I'm on my way," she said. Ethan raised an eyebrow. "Do you need to go?" Ashley nodded. "Yeah, I forgot his homework, and now I have to bring it to him." Ethan nodded. "I'll go with you." As they headed out the door, Ashley felt a sense of trepidation.
