"Aftermath of Embarrassment"
Part 53
I sat outside, my back against the cool wall of the school building, and covered my face with my hands once again. The warmth of my face slowly began to dissipate as I breathed in the fresh air and let the gentle breeze wash over me. As I sat there, I couldn't help but replay the events that had just transpired in my mind. Why had I blurted out all those names? Why had Mina put me on the spot like that? A couple of minutes passed, and I began to calm down. I slowly lowered my hands and looked up at the sky, taking in the sight of the blue expanse dotted with white clouds. The cool breeze carried the sweet scent of blooming flowers, and I felt my tension ease. Just as I was starting to relax, I heard the sound of footsteps approaching. I looked down, and my heart sank as I saw Mina standing in front of me, a bright smile on her face. "Hey, we've been waiting for you," she said, her voice cheerful. "Come on." She grabbed my arm and pulled me back inside. As we walked back into the room, the chatter and snickers abruptly stopped. Everyone's eyes were on me, and I could feel my face burning with embarrassment once again. I put my head down, avoiding eye contact with the people I had basically confessed to. The room fell silent, and Deku, still holding the bottle, looked at me with a mix of nervousness and determination. He took a deep breath, spun the bottle, and it landed on me. I couldn't help but think, "What is my luck? This sucks!" I felt a surge of panic and embarrassment. Just as I was about to lose my composure, I heard Osby's gentle voice in my mind. "Your ok, it'll be fine." I could hear the hint of a giggle in his tone, and it made me smile slightly. I took a deep breath and looked up, meeting Osby's reassuring gaze. Deku, on the other hand, looked like he was about to pass out. His face was bright red as he stuttered, "I-I want to... uh... kiss." The room fell silent once again, and I couldn't help but wonder what was going to happen next.
